They were already doing that when they got rid of Johnson - an act of cowardice that's bitten them on the arse. They should have left Bojo in place and they'd have won the next election albeit with a reduced, but still workable, majority. All IMHO of course. Absolutely agree. I bet my deeds that tory back benchers now wish they had left Boris in office. Pillocks. Yep. Twats.
They've thrown away an 80 seat majority.

...I firmly believe the parliamentary conservative party now realise they made a mistake, tbh, for all his foibles they would have been better off leaving Boris in number 10 however, that bus has gone. You ask who I think should replace Sunak, honest answer, I don't know. I'm not particularly enamoured with any of the personalities who would be considered front runners. But one thing is for sure, if the Conservative party want to survive, and one hopes they do, they have to appoint a proper centre right Conservative not a wishy washy pro EU liberal centrist as Sunak is, as Boris was, as May was, as Cameron was. Voters are crying out for the Conservatives to move back to the centre right. If they did, their electoral future would improve overnight. I agree. I don't. Labour would have destroyed Boris at the ballot box esp with being able to continually ask in a campaign: 'and just why did Boris promote a known sexual pervert into a position where he could pursue his abusive ways with impunity?' Most of his cabinet and many other Tory MPs knew that which is why they walked away from him.

The problem was that Boris was up against some pretty astute and powerful enemies, remainers, lefties, those in his own party hoping to do him down, this, coupled with his personal failings and shoddy behaviour brought him down. If the Tories had made him behave properly, no piss ups, a united front against his enemies, he would still be there and would win the next election, but they didn't and now they won't. The Tories have a track record for destroying themselves and failure to support and control Johnson shows this.
That said, he was charismatic, showed leadership in Ukraine, but he was lazy, disorganised, untruthful, and woke, so perhaps he didn't deserve their support.

With Labour's record on paedophilia and peversion I very much doubt it.

I almost feel sorry for Steve, he is taking a beating on two flanks here, the sensible thing would be to withdraw check ammo & casualties, and rethink. But I don't think he's that sensible.

Well Middle I knew it would be that false story. Patricia Hewitt who made a naive but innocent and self admitted mistake well over 30 years ago hasn't been a member of Labour for over 10 years and is actually now part of the Tory administration.

Well I'm never going to win over someone who thinks faced with 3 threats it's best to ignore two of them and then can't spot when large font is used but frankly I could care less if I've convinced such
