According to the News today Tesco's the increase of Employers NI will cost them £1 Billion a year, that will probably mean cutting Jobs, and increased prices.
The 1 pence reduction in the cost of a Pint is pathetic the increase in NI will mean they will have to cut jobs, as it increases their already high running costs they may have to reduce the numbers of hours they open

You will have to move to somewhere like Malta then. It's the norm for people to eat out there. In this country they just want to rip you off all the time. No salt in the roast was the final straw for me. It was not that Long ago Baron that Brits like to go out for a Sunday carverey but covid played a big part in ending that. And after lockdown prices went through the roof. I can still remember when cavreries were as low as a fiver per head along with a pint. They always find excuses though, that's what gets me. Covid is long gone now and over in Malta the restaurants are packed as usual. You often get them with a nice view of the sea as well. This country to me feels like it is a load of cripples. It's like ugggh, I can't move my right arm unless you pay me £5! I mean cooking a Sunday Roast is not exactly labour intensive. I too recall the days when it was a fiver, and another thing you could get at the pub for a fiver was a steak with chips, grilled tomatoes and peas etc. OK it was only a 5oz steak, but I was happy with that. With today's inflation that would be £10.
Actually I think part of the problem was when the fuckwits started messing with the food: no salt, no sugar, half the menu friggin vegetarian or gluten free bollox, weight watcher crap and all.

Yes covid is long gone but the pubs and hotels who used to do sunday lunches tried to recoup their losses too quickly and yes i agree about the pricey vegetarian crap that is now offered as food and eaten by idiots.
