I tolerate idiotic posts from you because I have a suspicion that under all the misguided political garbage you post there is someone who is a reasonable and good individual, just shockingly uninformed. See2, my dear deluded Trotskyite friend, I am a reasonable and good individual. However, it would be fair to say that I do not have much patience, especially with clueless virtue signalling lefties, it's a cross I bear with fortitude. And it must be said, clueless virtue signalling lefties do tend to bring out the worst in me. You will no doubt see this as a flaw in my proud centre right British character, not to worry, I'll try to get over it. I suspect you recognise that you are, but the mistake you make is that if you are a reasonable and good person then your choice of politics must also be reasonable and good. The day to day you is a mile away from your choice in politics. The fact that you do not know the serious social and economic damage Thatcher did, exposes the difference with the guy I would have a pint with and the guy I would avoid when it comes to politics.

This thread is about the next budget c2. What the fuck thatcher has to do with that is only known to you...If you will insist on dragging up history maybe you should take a look at wilson's, blairs and browns clusterfuck of a shitshow... He's obsessed with Thatcher, just like Starmer/Rayner were obsessed with Johnson, people like you and them go through life blaming everyone else for their failings, they can't take responsibility, they always have to blame everyone else, Starmer/Labour will continue to blame the Tories, even for this disastrous budget when the economy collapses, they will still blame the Tories, and you will still blame Thatcher .... that's what lefties do. I doubt he gives a rats arse about any of the topics. He isn't even economically aware.

You are having trouble with comprehension, Thatcher did serious damage to this country and typical Rightists want to avoid it LOL My comment on Thatcher was mainly meant for oo15. It absolutely is, kid yourself by all means, but you can't kid me. I don't waste time on your utter nonsense, that's true LOL You continue to post your own personal opinion as fact It isn't fact It is simply your opinion When I post about 'your utter nonsense' I am posting about the fact that you do post a lot of utter nonsense. Your nonsense may make sense to you, but that would be because of your political bias. i.e. a lack of objectivity.

Before Mrs Thatcher became Prime Minister I was working as a fitter on £57 per week and a reluctant member of the AEUW (closed shop), as soon as Mrs Thatcher swept aside the Union stranglehold on industry and the firm that I worked for flourished and I became much better off. Mrs Thatcher understood that industry and private enterprise was needed to support welfare, she only spent money that we earned, she did make some mistakes, but her period in office changed the Country immensely.
It is a lesson the the current Government are wilfully rejecting, believing that a gross monster state funded by money confiscated from those that created the wealth needed to fund welfare will carry out the twin objective of punishing private enterprise and funding the idleness of those who vote Labour.
Fortunately there are those that remember the1970s and Starmer will come under sharp scrutiny and criticism as he pursues his failed dogma, you will see a sharp reduction in living standards, increased unemployment and inflation and many small companies will cease trading. There will be another Mrs Thatcher needed to clean up the mess, we can only hope we have someone waiting in the wings.

But it's you who is posting nonsense and repetitively breaking the rules by posting abuse, lies and projecting that behaviour onto others. You even edit the moderator's posts and respond to him with personal abuse, and when asked if that is reasonable you fail to answer. Like I said before, I understand your entire motive is to wreck the forum and make it practically unusable - i'm not saying this is what is happening, only that this is what motivates you. It's the only logical conclusion at this point.
This is why you're currently into me, because I'm giving you some attention.

Thatcherism was replaced by Majorism, which was replaced by Blairism, Brownism, Cameronism, Mayism, Johnsonism, Trussism (for one month) Sunakism and now we have Starmerism. Margaret Thatcher left office in November 1990. She's been dead since 2013. In the intervening time we had six and a bit years of John Major, ten years of Tony Blair, three years of God awful Gordon, and several more PMs. Labour closed far more coal mines than Thatcher ever did. They did far more damage to private industry than she ever did. And they came up with the insane idea of trying to send half of school leavers to uni, as if there are no other ways of getting ahead in life.
Look at Dave Fishwick the millionaire, he never went to college, let alone uni. He left school with nothing. He made his money doing up and selling vehicles before founding a bank.
Alan Sugar, he never went to college never mind uni, he flogged car aerials and stereos out of the back of a van. He ended up a billionaire.
All you have to do is work and earn.
Government needs to be supportive of entrepreneurs, businesses, creativity. Tax needs to serve the private sector, not clobber it.

let me take a guess, you will need to pay more to keep the government in the life it is accustomed to, but it won't affect their standard of living one bit. Well exactly, YOUR pension pot will be screwed but they will add extra wonga to government pensions to ensure no public sector pensioner loses out. I'm thinking if the biopsy in a fortnight's time is not the result I'd normally hope for I'll be well off out of it.

All you have to do is work and earn. It also helps to lie through your teeth and sell cheap tat for a profit. Sadly Alan Sugars niche market has been taken over by a dozen Chinese and Indian websites

UK businesses already closing doors amid fears over Rachel Reeves looming Budget.... Thousands of solvent British businesses are shutting down in order to avoid an unexpected increase in levies on entrepreneurs in the budget. The number of members’ voluntary liquidations (MVL) this month doubled for the whole of October last year. According to notices filed in The Gazette, the number of advertised business closures in the country exceeded 1,600. The number of liquidators appointed to such closures accelerated to about 238 per cent in the week ending October 18, helping to drive up a 51 per cent increase in insolvencies week on week......

By the 1980's the leading purveyor of cheap tat was Clive Sinclair, Alan Sugar's company had professionalised. I digress. Labour needs to support the small businesses and get the giants to pay more without it being too much.
If they can find a good balance on taxes they can run a surplus and get the debt down. If they don't, they'll keep raising taxes, closing down industry and wondering why overtaxing doesn't work.

What will labour do to those on long-term benefits? Because it seems this party is all about taxing those/punishing those who work for their money and contribute to the economy of this country. Interested to see what happens next? Though most likely won’t be surprised at the result. 2 Tier Starmer's wrong, we are working people! Furious landlords, savers and self-employed people slam the Labour PM after he suggested they don't count and will be battered by taxes...... Landlords in Britain labelled Stamer 'insulting' and 'out of touch' today after he suggested they do not count as 'working people' ahead of the Budget. The Government has been asked repeatedly to define the term 'working people' in a bid to establish which taxes Chancellor Rachel Reeves could hike next Wednesday. Now, the Prime Minister suggested those with assets are not 'working people' and it is expected they will be targeted by the biggest tax hikes in three decades. He has already ruled out putting up income tax, employee National Insurance and VAT, leaving Ms Reeves to target areas such as capital gains and inheritance tax. Speaking at the Commonwealth summit in Samoa, 2 Tier Keir said a 'working person' is somebody who 'goes out and earns their living, usually paid in a sort of monthly cheque' but they did not have the ability to 'write a cheque to get out of difficulties'. And when asked if this would include people who get all or part of their income from assets, he told Sky News: 'Well, they wouldn't come within my definition.'..... www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14001855/Keir-Starmers-wrong-working-people-Furious-landlords-savers-self-employed-slam-PMs-claptrap-prejudice-hinted-tax-hikes.html

The workers right bill will be the final nail, can you imagine employers will be taken to tribunals for asking them to work, employers will be reluctant to higher anyone who is Black for fear of them playing the race card at tribunals, Rayners workers right bill and the renters rights bill will finish off business once and for all, they haven't got the foggiest idea what they are doing.
