It's a conspiracy theory which the keen conspiracy spotter might have come across, though not one of the more mainstream claims. Anyhow the general form this takes is the elite, whoever they are, decided technology was bad. As in we can't just let the proles invent new stuff or they might invent something really scary that might threaten our iron grip on the world. As per we've had it good in our mansions for hundreds of years, so why risk a step into the unknown.
So they think, hmm well we better start cutting back on this science we teach them, and simplify the maths skills. I mean you don't want O-levellers learning calculus so we'll shift that to the A level and stuff like this, (and ban the teaching of grammar too!) so ever so gradually we can water it down. We'll also cut out TV programmes like Tomorrow's World, as this is encouraging the proles to think technology will improve their lives. So how about universities? Someone would notice if we banned them, so I know, well give everyone the right to go there. This way they will have to teach it so even the thickest student passes. We'll give them the 'everyone 's a winner' treatment.
Anyhow it was just a conspiracy. Nothing to worry about and a bit extreme eh?

Tomorrow's World stopped being made because we're living in it.

That's a bit nonsensical. My self and my colleague developed a fair number new power electronics systems.

You can't be a bonafide conspiracy theorist on this subject until you have cited the above report. It was one of the main strands of evidence used to prove the linkage between the plot and the elite, who on this occasion were calling themselves the Club of Rome.
You say you are an electrical engineer. Well take a look here then!

A pedal powered washing machine ?? How about this:

A pedal powered washing machine ?? How about this: Here's the latest in leccy engineering. It's 12 GW

Nope - yes it is larger but just the same conventional source. Try again.

Nope - yes it is larger but just the same conventional source. Try again. I think it is special since it is a higher voltage. Apparently it came from Germany.

Just of interest the highest voltage voltages world are 800kV DC.

I do have an engineering degree and a Chartered etc I know the difference between voltage and energy. That's rather cheeky of you and I was not asking if you were a chartered engineer. I know your history.
Over on that channel it is touted as something special. Well is it or is it not? I know it is supposed to transport the energy from the north where it is generated to the coastal cities where most of the population are. The issue is how much energy do you lose from the north to the south. Over to you Sir Chartered Engineer.
By the way, next time you are in London take a look at One George Street. There's a grand banqueting hall there where you have all the famous chartered engineers. They look down on you as you eat.

I could with a transformer generate 800kv, it's just a matter of getting the proportion of coils right and turning current into voltage by stepping everything up. More advanced tech is the replacement of fossil fuels with synthetics which is a matter of electrical engineering and chemical engineering. Every conventional car in the world can run without modification on synthetic fuels and the ONLY way to achieve net zero is synthetic fuel production. These guys, not dictatorial China (shithole) are already in production. www.p1fuels.com/
