Unless the unelected bureaucrats who from behind closed doors govern the EU start taking peoples concerns over immigration seriously, I can see the EU falling apart, or perhaps splitting into two separate entities. Either way Putin would be thrilled. And if the EU as we know it does collapse, the aforementioned unelected bureaucrats have only themselves to blame. Another blow for von de liar....European nations introduce tough new plans to forcibly return illegal migrants.....
My view is von de US bot. "We- are - programmed- to-self - destruct-in-5-seconds"

This backs up my argument that the current mass migration around the world can only be settled in a humane way by large-scale international cooperation.
Individual states making arbitrary decisions, shouting loudly about them, but mostly finding them impossible to carry out, just exacerbates the current situation for everyone...

Individual states making arbitrary decisions, shouting loudly about them, but mostly finding them impossible to carry out, just exacerbates the current situation for everyone... The reason that European countries can do this but the UK can't is that in Europe they don't have a legal aid system like in the UK in which the government pays millions to support challenges to its decisions........Try and imagine just how wealthy his country could be, how safe our streets would be and how much less tax we would all have to pay if our ever duplicitous and utterly self-serving politicians actually listened to what the vast majority of UK citizens are asking them to do and they then actually did it...rather than always doing what their spin doctors and political 'donors' tell them to do......
Italy's government formally opened two new migrant centres in Albania where refugees will be sent after being intercepted in the Med under a plan by Meloni's hard right government.
Italian Ambassador to Albania Fabrizio Bucci said the two centers are ready to process the migrants, but could not say when the first ones would arrive.
'As of today, the two centers are ready and operational,' Bucci told journalists at the port of Shengjin on Albania's Adriatic coast where the migrants will land.
This aerial photo shows the site of a recently built Italian-run migrant centre at the port of Shengjin, Albania, on October 11
The centres will be used to hold male migrants after they are processed following being intercepted in the Med
The centers have capacity to accommodate up to 400 illegal migrants as a start, expected to increase to 880 in a few weeks, according to Italian officials, speaking off the record.
The two controversial facilities will cost Italy around £560.7million over five years, will be run by Italy, and are under Italian jurisdiction, while Albanian guards will provide external security.

Germany as far as I am aware is about to start or may have already started to Deport thousands of Failed Asylum Seekers back to Turkey, according to the Media the Turkish Government will allow it.
The number of Turkish asylum seekers in Germany was so high in 2023 that Chancellor Olaf Scholz promised to address the issue. “We must finally deport on a large scale,” Scholz said in October 2023, referring to asylum seekers with applications that had been rejected.

That comment is a lie introduced by Brexit supporters, it has been proven to be false many times. It is mostly used by Rightists I suspect who clearly approve of the Right-wing following of the 'Dark Legend' approach.

It is mostly used by Rightists I suspect who clearly approve of the Right-wing following of the 'Dark Legend' approach. See2, my dear deluded Marxist friend. Where to begin... The EU is governed by the commission, which is the executive arm of the EU parliament and is totally untainted by any form of democracy, democratic accountability or scrutiny. The executive is overseen by an unelected president, although to give the pretence of 'democracy' an incoming president does go through a show election, in which there is just one name on the ballot paper, lol. I imagine the politburo had a similar system. The EU parliament is like no parliament anywhere in the world because it has no power to propose or initiate legislation. The all powerful and totally unelected commission propose legislation. Yes the EU parliament can propose amendments to that legislation but the commission do not have to act on those amendments, this shows where the real power lies within the EU parliament, and it's not with elected MEP's. Here to help.

Earth to Red...Come in please...The ECHR has nothing to do with the EU...Over and out. LOL very good, I did actually laugh out loud, and yes I'm very aware of that. And for the record ref radio comms, you don't say 'over and out'. If an answer is required you say 'over', if the transmission has ended you say your callsign followed by 'out'. Over and out is only said in films and would make no sense to a real radio operator. RR out.

Italy is transferring the first group of migrants to Albania, the Interior Ministry said Monday, as part of a contentious plan to process thousands of asylum-seekers outside its borders. A naval ship departed from the island of Lampedusa with 16 men — 10 from Bangladesh and six from Egypt — who were rescued at sea after departing from Libya. The ship is expected to arrive Wednesday morning, a ministry spokesman said. Premier Giorgia Meloni's far-right government on Friday formally opened the two centers in Albania where Italy plans to process thousands of male migrants requesting asylum after being intercepted in international waters while trying to cross to Europe.
