The US is playing a lose-lose game with China. They cranked up the tariffs to extreme levels. As I have already said, China saw this coming long ago. Same thing with the chips and the killing off of the Huawei phones to save Apple's market. Now they have sprung back into action. Also the press over there are a bit like our own and tend to flap a lot if the economy misses the targets. I think the SCMP is owned by Jack Ma. He's a bit of a rebel and fell out with the party somewhat. He is known for bigging things up. He's like our Farage: tolerated, but even so the Tories give him nasty looks quite often. Rubbish BVL the world no longer needs chinese junk. Why buy a fiat when you can buy a RR at the same price and hasn't travelled halfway across the globe to get to the consumer. I don't understand that. What is an RR?
Also the junk is not in China, but in the brains of the Brits.
Third, I thought LG make the screens to all the monitors. Are they made in Britain now?

Rolls Royce BVL. The west no longer wants cheap chinese trash on their shopping shelves any longer. Monitor screens are made in the UK and they work made under licence from samsung. www.samsung.com/uk/monitors/all-monitors/

All you need is a big cigar and we could mistake you for Jimmy Saville!
But hey, guess what. I'm reading your comments on Samsung monitor. I agree Samsung are a good make. The Chinese buy a lot of Samsung stuff to make their products as well. You see they aint no British Bitch over there. They are capitalists who buy from whomever is doing closest to what they want at the right price. That's why I respect the Chinese. They think as I do. They are rationalists. Actually I have integrated Chinese philosophical principles in how I operate more so these days and see benefits. Eastern wisdom is good for the mind.

The UK have copied no one unlike the chinese baron. Every thing they produce was plagiarised from the west.

And for OLED I believe that had something to do with us. Some rockstar invested into the research. I think it was someone from Genesis.
China was still ruled by the Qing dynasty in 1888.

China is full to the brim with empty shipping containers and the theives who stole western technology. You are sounding as moronic as Vinny.
I mean if I were stupid I could claim the world "stole" the Austrian discovery.
I'd have to be bloody stupid to think that though.
It was interesting that in the typical shop in Britain there were a whole array of different makes and models of television, e.g. your Currys or Dixons, but 90% of the screens came from the same company and likely the same factory. The quality of the picture is almost entirely down to the screen. You drive it with 1s and 0s so no difference at all.
Anyhow I have heard that China is planning on entering the flat screen manufacturing business so we may get a bit of consumer choice eventually. The trouble for China is when the most expensive component in the manufacturing has to be bought in, then they can't really squeeze the price that much. I see this with the Chinese computers that use Intel chips. The chip is the lion's share of the expense. Like with screens, they plan to develop their own CPUs. Indeed they already have them, but they are not that fast yet. They are good enough for an office PC though and to run a web browser. Give it a few year though and the cost of PCs will drop like a stone and they will be serious players in the market. This is how their industrial army advances.
Of course you could revert back to your dumb comments and reply to my post that they are all crooks, but words mean nothing. Calling an army all the names under the sun will not save you. You got to get real and smell the coffee.

The Egyptians were writing long before the chinese and maybe you should visit some of the caves in UK with hieroglyphics.

The Egyptians were writing long before the chinese and maybe you should visit some of the caves in UK with hieroglyphics. You know what the problem is? The Brits are behaving like the Greeks. Greeks were kings of civilisation once, but now it is tourist attractions. In Britain virtually every bit of surviving Victorian ironmongery is a tourist attraction.
It's a deadly trap though. You might have been top of your class in Britain, but if you believe because you are top in Britain then you are the master of the universe, it comes as a bit of a shock to find in other lands your abilities are mediocre. You then have a choice. You can choose to fake it (recommended option in UK) or you could come clean with yourself and your country and say, we is shit. We had better buck our ideas up. You absolutely have to pass this point, no exceptions, if you want to get ahead. Pride is deadly. Dante believed pride is the worst sin since it is the pathway to all the others. With the Brits, we were destroyed by pride in the run-ups to the 2 world wars. If we applied Eastern philosophy at those junctures we would follow the guidance that says, the first step in war is to do all you can to avoid a war. With pride though you are right in the devil's jaws. We blew our country up and wonder why we are poor. The Germans were like, we really don't want a war with Britain, but if you Brits insist, then we will oblige you.

I work on the principle of if I buy off someone and it turns out good I will come back for more. I do buy some Brit-made products, but nothing that advanced.
