But hey, guess what. I'm reading your comments on Samsung monitor. I agree Samsung are a good make. The Chinese buy a lot of Samsung stuff to make their products as well. You see they aint no British Bitch over there. They are capitalists who buy from whomever is doing closest to what they want at the right price. That's why I respect the Chinese. They think as I do. It was interesting that in the typical shop in Britain there were a whole array of different makes and models of television, e.g. your Currys or Dixons, but 90% of the screens came from the same company and likely the same factory. The quality of the picture is almost entirely down to the screen. You drive it with 1s and 0s so no difference at all.

Anyhow I have heard that China is planning on entering the flat screen manufacturing business so we may get a bit of consumer choice eventually. The trouble for China is when the most expensive component in the manufacturing has to be bought in, then they can't really squeeze the price that much. I see this with the Chinese computers that use Intel chips. The chip is the lion's share of the expense. Like with screens, they plan to develop their own CPUs. Indeed they already have them, but they are not that fast yet. They are good enough for an office PC though and to run a web browser. Give it a few year though and the cost of PCs will drop like a stone and they will be serious players in the market. This is how their industrial army advances.

You know what the problem is? The Brits are behaving like the Greeks. Greeks were kings of civilisation once, but now it is tourist attractions. In Britain virtually every bit of surviving Victorian ironmongery is a tourist attraction.

It's a deadly trap though. You might have been top of your class in Britain, but if you believe because you are top in Britain then you are the master of the universe, it comes as a bit of a shock to find in other lands your abilities are mediocre. You then have a choice. You can choose to fake it (recommended option in UK) or you could come clean with yourself and your country and say, we is shit. We had better buck our ideas up. You absolutely have to pass this point, no exceptions, if you want to get ahead. Pride is deadly. Dante believed pride is the worst sin since it is the pathway to all the others. With the  Brits, we were destroyed by pride in the run-ups to the 2 world wars. If we applied Eastern philosophy at those junctures we would follow the guidance that says, the first step in war is to do all you can to avoid a war. With pride though you are right in the devil's jaws. We blew our country up and wonder why we are poor. The Germans were like, we really don't want  a war with Britain, but if you Brits insist, then we will oblige you.
