This is how I feel these days. I'm bombarded with talk of immigration and general stupidity. Every publication is having a bitch about something or other. I don't see anyone offering nice intelligent solutions to improve our lives. Any solution posed is a zero sum game, as per I want what you have got, or I want it this way at your expense. This country is obsessed with immigration, crime and war. I've been running a test on the BBC radio. I switch it on and the rule of the game is, if the subject is negative/miserable I turn it off, and if it is positive and helpful I leave it on. I think the stats are about 95% negative, of which a large amount revolves around fighting and wars. If it is not that it is about someone dying or about to die or in fear of death. The BBC is becoming a death cult.
I think the nation needs to wake up out of its stuper and think in an entirely different frame of reference, as per what can I do to make things better. The nation is so brainwashed that it can not bring itself to this point. I think in the past it was Christianity which helped it to be positive. Christian communities encourage each other to be positive by setting an example themselves. It might seem counter-intuitive, but those who help others don't seem to have any problems themselves.
Anyway, to look at things objectively, today out of about 3 hrs of reading and listening to various things, there was only one positive story and that was from a channel run by a guy over in Taiwan on the history of Micron, which was all about some guys who had an optimistic approach to manufacturing. They ignored all the advice when trying to get investment with people saying "hell no", and turned $100m into $150bn today.

BvL, over the past two decades the population of this tiny country has increased by 8 million. Net migration is currently running at 780,000 a year. Between 30,000 and 40,000 illegals enter this country every year, and one of the reasons our prisons are full is because thanks to mass immigration we have 14,000 foreign prisoners.
The government are currently spending £15 million a day (£5.5 billion a year) on illegal immigrant hotel bills. It costs £2.6 billion a year for the Border Farce to escort illegals to Dover, and the government refuse to say how much it costs to furnish flats given to illegals who are pushed to the front of the housing queue, and there are many other immigrant expenses we don't know about.
Last winter 4,500 old age pensioners in this country died as a direct result of being cold. Yet the government cut old age pensioners winter fuel payments and continue to spend many £billions of tax payers pounds on immigrants who have never contributed one thin penny to this country, many of whom are illegal.
And you wonder why people are 'obsessed' with immigration! Really?..

And you wonder why people are 'obsessed' with immigration! Really?.. I know why, but their protests will be their failure. The opposition to it are largely uneducated morons. Here is an example of how it is and how I see it. Example today was a report on a "far left protest" and how the so called British patriots turned up and tried to disrupt it, and the method they chose was singing god save Britannia, Britannia rules the waves. Then I paused and did something they had not, which was to have a think, and I thought about our new aircraft carrier broken down (problem with the propeller) and was it ruling the waves as it was broken down on the waves? Like hell it was ruling the waves, and this little example brings us onto a wider issue. If you want to rule the waves you gotta make sure your propellers work properly, but like many things today, all the other stuff is neglected. The obsession with one thing is destroying our ability to survive and I predict they will be taken over.

It is not Britannia rules the waves it is Rule, (comma instruction), Brittannia! rule the waves, (instruction rule the waves, not a declaration that it did). The power of the RN is subesquent years probably helped to corrupt the meaning but the actual meaning is clear. It a dramatic instruction of what must be done, not a declaration of what is. Even more pertinent today that ever.

That was the gist of the meaning they were trying to get across.
Anyway I'm a firm adherent to the China school of thought. If you want to rule the waves you must focus on being the best. Get yeh head down to some proper work and study. That's how we ruled them the firs time. It was superior navigation tech.

No you are quoting what you believe was sung and indeed some may have sung with the s on the rule with the popular misunderstanding of the song and even if many sung the song correctly the sibilant tends to be heard even when it is only sung by a few. Indeed you have to focus on being the best and that is what the song is demanding. There is a belief that Chinese navigation and seafaring was at its peak at the start of the 15th century and made many discoveries lost in the mists of time.

The clip was replayed a second time in another video and in accounting for your issue of s or no s, I deliberately checked it, and sure enough they sung it with the s. So you are wrong here. My memory proved to be accurate. I'm happy that it was.

If some sing an s it will be more pronounced for two reasons, you brain is filling the s for all when it may be only a few and your brain is expecting an s in the verb after the singular Britannia.

Not wanting your country overrun with the dregs of the middle east and Africa, courtesy of the poxy EU, has got absolutely nothing to do with Rule Britannia or ruling the bloody waves. It seems obvious to me you need to get your head out of your arse and have a look at what's going on in this country.

They are the more intelligent ones, but you will find they are not the ones protesting agaisnt it, indeed quite the opposite in many cases. This is our problem. You can't win if your side is a bunch of morons, and I mean I've listened to enough to know. They are right about the immigration. The definition of a moron was I believe someone with a mental age of less than 12. You don't need a mental age of 12 to figure it out, so my critique is more aimed at the educated ones. They have been brainwashed. The immigration scam is sophisticated. It's run by lawyers.

Yep. This is the problem. I was listening to a woman on Radio 4 who probably went to one of these leftwing universities. Her brain was beyond hope. She says in her feminist accent, the womb speaks to you. We have similar women around our way who are just as mad. It makes me wonder if these metropolitan West London types you get on the BBC have had tuition from this area. I have seen the Beeb poke around and do an educational video on it for the open university. It's unbelievable.

Its worse than that, its mass mental illness. There was an article about the TUC i didnt read it, about not having to work at all, i presume they would still expect to get paid.
Its will all end in tears, disaster.

Its will all end in tears, disaster. Exactly, I'm finding it goes far beyond low intelligence. It's stuff you hear and think, I can't imagine how someone would ever come to such a conclusion. Around here the latest craze is the flat earthers. One of the people I know got infected with this madness and I wondered why he became so pissed off with me and my interest in science. When I found out, my heart sank. He was beyond hope. I could not talk to him anymore.
Another stupid bunch of tossers spend every Saturday here flying the Palestinian flag in the middle of our high streets (town centre). None look Palestinian either.

Nobody ever speaks in favour of bad news, though I don't know why. News is exceptional - it's things that don't usually happen and are of interest because they've just happened. If the news was regularly good, that would suggest that things are normally worse. We should be glad that bad things are exceptional enough to be worth reporting.
