Given that he was only given a suspended sentence and that at the time of the crime he (like the victim) was 14, I suspect this was more a case of 2 underage kids having a fumble in the long grass rather than a violent attack. If so why would anyone want to put him in prison? Good point. Although, given the judges comments, I wonder if his behaviour in the interim has been somewhat less than exemplary? It seems odd that the authorities would otherwise be interested in a 20 year old case where the offender was a juvenile at the time. Another case of what's not being said being more telling than what is.

The interesting bit is even when faced with the fact a child rapist has escaped jail because of Starmer's actions in halting imprisonment, the twats printing the article claim his restrictions don't apply to sex offenders.... Yet here we see they clearly do If he were Pakistani it would be obvious why pursuit of their cultural norms means no jail Strange for the same to apply to a white man... Oh, wait, is he a white islamic ?? But the sole reason as to why he was hauled before a court was not any child abuse / sexual offence charge, which actually happened 19 years ago, it was because he breeched a condition of a suspended sentence and went abroad without informing the police. Under the current prisons crisis caused by the last government, sending someone to prison for breech of a licence condition is clearly not regarded as serious enough to warrant a custodial sentence at this time, and other more serious offennders take precidence due to the critical shortage of prison space.

First of all, I am not the one who said he should be incarcerated and would be were it not for prison overcrowding. The judge dealing with his appearance in court said it. And since Pacifico made his point earlier I have thought a bit about that If you stop and think about this for a moment, it is not really all that hard to see why a judge would say that. A crime was committed and a sentence was handed down. Now I happen to think it should have been a harsher sentence but then I am a father of a rape victim so feel free to criticise me for that. But the sentence came with specific conditions which this convict has violated. Judg s really don't appreciate that sort of behaviour. Because frankly it amounts to contempt of court doesn't it. And they really don't like that.

I both understand and sympathise with your opinion and standpoint on this I also cant help but think that it should also be considered that this 33 year old man was a 14 year old child himself when the offence too place, though I accept a 14 year old does know right from wrong. Its a problem that is not going to be easy to resolve quickly, building more prisons is going to take time, and then theres the cost involved, I just feel that so much has been neglected due to austerity.

One would assume Starmer is not a stupid man, yes indeed assumption has always been the mother of all cock ups. Apparently he cant see how unpopular he is. Is this because he is surrounded by left wing civil service sycophants like Sue Gray. History would suggest this fits in well with left wing socialist authoritarianism, anyone who thinks this will not end in tears is a bloody fool. He's unconsciously incompetent.

I think I could solve this particular overcrowding problem fairly quickly using a US example and not the one I bet you think I mean I wonder, how long do you think a felon retains their green card once convicted of a felony crime I wonder, how many people in a UK prison are citizens of the UK by birth in the UK and how many are naturalized ? I would make it automatic that any naturalisation providing a right to remain is rescinded the instant a convict becomes convicted of a crime ordinarily warranting incarceration as a punishment We should not be the providers of free board and lodging to the world's criminal fraternity. Citizenship previously granted to felons should be revoked upon conviction. Fuck the European Court of Human Rights. Refugees from persecution ? Well you should have abided by our fucking laws then. Bye. Oh, gotva problem where you're going ? Well that's on YOU I care only for the Human Rights of British Citizens who are victims of crime. Yes it is a two tier justice system, but Kier Starmer started that. Now, once the prisons are cleared of the world's riff raff I wonder how overcrowded they will be...

The Left have historically been fairly tolerant of paedophilia. Remember Harriet Harman and Jack Dromey's support of PIE (Paedophile Information Exchange). Ms Harperson is very reluctant to talk about this chapter of her political life but she was seriously suggesting that sexual relationships between adults and children were not necessarily bad.
The Left have some very strange and dangerous ideas.
