Aren’t you included in “everyone”? Judging by the comments here, blowing out of proportion could apply both ways. Would the Palace really get rid of their Meeter and Greeter so rapidly if there hadn’t been a case to answer? But as you point out, it’s “context”, and the Wales’s are on a visit to a friendly country, and are in danger of being upstaged by others who have dared complain about their treatment at the hands of the Palace — not a good start to regime change in the monarchy, is it…? FFS get a grip, she was publicly flogged in the palace, she was asked 'where do you come from'.
Do you see how stupid and ridiculous it is when you actually think about it.
I guess comprehension is not one of your strong points…

It was blown out of proportion by the black lady, and instead of hearing both sides of the story every one jumped to the wrong conclusion, now the dust has settled the majority of people realise it was a none story from a black lady who was just attention seeking, for reasons best known to herself.
A innocent remark taken totally out of context, and now it will be the black lady suffering the backlash.

I don't know if it is a good start, but I reckon that it won't do the Poor Me, I Am Black/Brown/Whatever And Deeply Offended By Everything industry a lot of good.

Exactly, with people like this black woman around crying wolf, it will get that way no one will take any notice to 'genuine' victims of racism.

As Pat says, it does make you wonder how many genuine victims there are of racism

It's a troll and an obvious one.

As a white Englishman, with no trace of "foreign" in me, I have on a number of occasions been pointedly asked by locals, by strangers, white strangers when I've been in other parts of the country: "Where are you from?". A local (Gloucestershire) ambulanceman asked me this question. When I said: "London" he turned to his mate and said: "He's from London", and gave a little laugh. I was asked the same question when I stayed at a local camp site in West Yorkshire. The guy who asked me called out to his mates: "We've got a Londoner here!" I was once asked by a black security guy where I was from ... the conversation produced a surprise result ... we were both from Cricklewood ... and went to the same school.
When I asked an African nurse at the hospital where I get my treatment where she was from she ... warily ... said: "Nigeria". When I responded with: "I had a woman friend in London who was from Nigeria, she was an Itsekiri" she lit up and happily said that they lived close to where she was brought up. Other nurses joined in the conversation and she seemed really chuffed that they were interested in her background. Another African nurse, who had a "French" accent (actually a Belgian accent), paused before she told me she was from the Congo. I then had a friendly conversation with her ... after naming several of the major cities there ... including Goma, her home town. Another nurse, again warily, told me he was from Guam. A few days later when he attended to me again I got his interest when I talked about the local landmarks, etc ... including the dialysis set up on the island, and even named the chief Nephrologist (a local born guy) running them. I got the info from Google Earth.

I am sure many people suffer racism every day, some suffer in silence, this black woman is NOT one of them, this woman is the serial offended, big difference.

An old woman with old views being hounded by being judged on the here and now.
Isn't that ageism?

Apparently, she supports Harry and Megan and the rumours of racism by the Royal Family towards Megan, the truth will out as they say, I thought I read a few days ago that she didn't think Harry and Megan would stay together.

I think more ignorant than willful, but pretty hard to see it as anything other than racist. I mean, thinking black people can't come from London! 😂 As posted elswhere: Nigel Farage has just delivered an absolutely scathing monologue of Ngozi Fulani, the black woman who has accused Lady Hussey of racism. He said among other things, that she [Ngozi Fulani] was in full African dress, so why was it racist to ask where she was from? It was surely a perfectly normal question. Farage mentioned that Fulani had previously accused the Royal family of being racist when on the occasion of William and Kates wedding, she said the balcony at Buckingham Palace was "all white". Also he said that Fulani secretly recorded the conversation she had with Lady Hussey, indicating the whole thing was planned. Ngozi Fulani comes across as a racist entitled black woman with a chip on her shoulder who constantly looks for offence, and the establishment have fallen for it. 100% agree Red. If someone spoke to me in an American accent. I would ask them where they are from. If they replied Swindon, I would say "No I mean which part of the states" I would not expect them to take offence at that. This has gone far enough now. As far as I'm concerned its now point scoring that cost an elderly lady her job. Disgusting.

The fact is that the woman was dressed in what I assume is the traditional dress of an African female. In which case one wonders why she wasn't dressed in traditional British fashion if she was so keen on emphasising that she was of British and not African origin.
