The vagueness allows anyone to come to any conclusion they wish and defend it - with reason - if they wish. There is no way to decide who is actually correct. No I fall back to the legal definition of what a hate crime is rather than one random on the internet's definition. The definition is ambiguous. Consequently a legal judgment is no more philosophically or morally sound than any other opinion. Such are the consequences of writing shitty and vague law with the aim of targeting particular groups with the ambiguity Not to mention that we have hate "incidents", hate "crimes" and hate laws. Each with a slightly different definition. And if you follow the logic of "hate" crimes/incidents etc it's clear to anyone of reasonable intelligence that there are plenty of other such that may not meet a particular definition but are clearly similarly motivated. |

On another thread you indicated than one's heritage was one of the main influences on what you became. Like his parents were from mainly Christian Rwanda and therefore his religion was likely to be Christian. So his heritage is relevant. |
