So you are saying that the only comes involving hate are the crimes defined by law as hate crimes ? Are you really that thick? I never said that. I've simply pointed out the legal definition of a hate crime and the examples you gave earlier don't meet the criteria. But hate crimes can occur outside of the ‘ legal definition of hate crime . I pointed that out . You fell back to pedantry.

No I fall back to the legal definition of what a hate crime is rather than one random on the internet's definition.

Lets remember for a moment, the machete attack of 8th July 1996. Paranoid schizophrenic with a machete, attacked a group of kids, their teacher Lisa Potts shielded them from the attacker suffering horrible injuries. She is still scarred, has suffered PTSD and depression as a result.
But that guy tried what this thug succeeded at in Southport.
Not every attack can be explained rationally.

No , you don’t have the intelligence or imagination to realise that hate can occur in crimes other than the ones legally defined as hate crimes . This might be apparent to you if a crime was added to the list of legally defined’ hate crimes in the future Wiki “In 2013, Greater Manchester Police began recording attacks on goths, punks and other alternative culture groups as hate crimes.” According to you , there was no hate involved with attacks on Goths, punks and other culture groups until 2013. Really ?

If you don't like that that's your problem not mine.

I’ve been telling you that hate does not only occur in legally defined ‘ hate ‘ crimes and you have refused to acknowledge that fact over umpteen posts . Now you are projecting your obtuseness at me . Yes you better had stop digging …good boy.

I think that's because such people believe 'hate crime' laws trump all other kinds of crime, like the murder of young innocent girls.

No I fall back to the legal definition of what a hate crime is rather than one random on the internet's definition. The definition is ambiguous. Consequently a legal judgment is no more philosophically or morally sound than any other opinion. Such are the consequences of writing shitty and vague law with the aim of targeting particular groups with the ambiguity

The definition is ambiguous. Consequently a legal judgment is no more philosophically or morally sound than any other opinion. Such are the consequences of writing shitty and vague law with the aim of targeting particular groups with the ambiguity The definition looks pretty clear to me. Then you are a genuine idiot who needs a course in basic reasoning. The vagueness allows anyone to come to any conclusion they wish and defend it - with reason - if they wish. There is no way to decide who is actually correct.
