Well they under free speech have every right to their opinion and me mine, bunch of tossers who thought they were immune because instead of firm action were offered tea and biscuits so escalated and have rightly paid the price, now another bunch of tossers are crying in to their muesli, still eating that prepares them for porridge

The sentencing had nothing to do with stop the oil. Anyone with a sensible objection to oil has a right to both object and to take actions against oil, what they do not have is the right to endanger others by their actions.

And in a weird turn the mother of one of those jailed complains that the sentence will interfere with her daughters travel plans.. 👀

Interesting take on what was clearly conspiracy by those participating in that meeting. Planning the commission of illegal acts and they seem to think this is OK …

The over-priveliged sense of entitlement of these self-centred wankers is breathtaking.

And in a weird turn the mother of one of those jailed complains that the sentence will interfere with her daughters travel plans.. 👀 LOL..... the worst thing you could do to this bunch of beatnik's is confiscate their passports for 10 years, you wont see any of them causing disruption again, one of them arrested last year had just come back from 'Australia' ... imagine how big her carbon footprint was, what the Courts should have done is released details of their holidaying, expose them for the hypocrites they are, it's typical of the lefty mentality, they want to ruin everyone's fun and enjoyment, while they carry out doing exactly what they want.

Yep, and most of these arseholes are from outside London and travel in to protest in their Range Rovers, while telling the rest of us that driving to work is the problem.
Presumably because they don't have to.
Champagne lefties are the sanctimonius scum of the Earth.

Exactly, if it was left to me I'd confiscate their passports and driving licence, and when they were whinging and whining I'd say ... why would you need either of these, isn't that what you are protesting about banning oil ... passports and driving licences involve modes of transport that are oil guzzlers ...... you stupid double standard fuckin numbnuts.

Oddly enough, a discretionary disqualification is a bolt on penalty to practically every offence. So if a court feels that someone is travelling in order to commit offences they can certainly take away their driving licence. I'm surprised it isn't used more on these arseholes.

They are going on about prisons being full and early release, they've sent this lot to prison, but I think taking their passports and driving licences away for four and five years would have hit them harder than a prison sentence, they'll be out in possible 18 months, and possibly do the same thing again, the thought of them not being able to drive or go abroad holidaying for four or five years would be far more devastating for them.

At risk of sounding all Dappy, I agree. They could probably have just been tagged for 5 years, effectively being placed under house arrest. That said, I agree that they'll be out in 18 months but they'll still be on license and liable to immediate return to prison should they commit further offences.

Their actions are reckless to life, and the criminal damage they cause is outrageous, they've been given a lot of leeway with the police and courts, so I suspect the prison sentences was a tick box for law abiding citizens who's lives have been disrupted going about their daily business, not to mention hindering emergency services, thinking about they probably should have got the prison sentences and the passport/driving licences suspended for the same period of time ..... just let them cross my path when they are in action.

I'm sure if her brother thinks its that important to have her at his wedding he will put it on hold until she is out of prison . Fecking idiots at uni being brainwashed by the green agenda and greenpeace to do their dirty work for them . 4 years (2) isn't too long though I think Im right in saying 5 years or more gets a third off so the leader bloke who got 5 will do 3 and a bit .
The biggest laugh is celebrities ,probably people with the biggest carbon footprint crying for the protesters , tossers .
