I'll admit I was wrong if Labour find a way of stopping the boats, the only cheapest and most sensible way forward is to turn the boats back round to France, but I'll bet you the shirt of my back Labour wont do that.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has set out the first steps to establishing a new UK Border Security Command to tackle the people-smuggling gangs bringing migrants across the Channel in small boats. Recruitment of a border security commander, who will report directly to the Home Secretary, will begin on Monday, with the new recruit expected to take up their post in the coming weeks, the Home Office said. T The commander will be a “leader used to working in complex and challenging environments, for example at senior levels of policing, intelligence or the military” who will provide strategic direction to work across agencies, drawing together the work of the National Crime Agency, intelligence agencies, police, Immigration Enforcement and Border Force, to protect the country’s borders and go after the smuggling gangs facilitating small boat crossings, the department added. Following the Home Secretary’s instruction, a team in the Home Office is establishing the remit, governance and strategic direction of the new command. Early legislation is being prepared to introduce new counter terror-style powers and measures to tackle organised immigration crime. Ms Cooper has also commissioned an investigation from the department and the National Crime Agency into the latest routes, methods and tactics used by people smuggling gangs across Europe to inform a major law enforcement drive over the coming months. " Labour reinventing the wheel " The wheel has been reinvented many times, repeatedly being improved. As it stands that shouldn't be too difficult. That's assuming such a type of wheel, broken and useless, already exists, otherwise, its just a major step in the right direction.

You have to laugh - countries across Europe have been trying (and failing) for years to stop the people smuggling gangs. ..if they had only asked Ms Cooper how to do it.. Why not wait and see?

There are currently 1,800 illegals in detention centres, Labour aren't talking about them but Kevin Hollinrake (ex Tory minister for small businesses) has just said Labour plan to release them all, place them in hotels or social housing, and permanently close the detention centres.
There are also 6,731 failed asylum applicants who are currently awaiting deportation, or thanks to lefty lawyers fighting deportation through the courts. It is widely suspected that this Labour government will grant them all amnesty.
I imagine there's quite a party going on in illegal immigrant camps all over the EU.

It's official, Starmer is a liar.
Starmer has just confirmed he will be an EU rule taker.
He says he will get a better deal with Brussels. He said, before he can get a better deal he must show willing, he said he must 'show the EU he is committed to honouring agreements already in place' whatever that means. I do wonder, is he even aware that the EU have turned a blind eye to hundreds of thousands of illegals who the French continue to allow across the channel?
However, just a couple of weeks ago that cheese eating surrender monkey, Michel Barnier, said: No deal will be discussed with the UK unless they sign up to free movement/open borders [And become just another EU state governed from Belgium.]
So posters, just wait for the announcement. Starmer will of course insist that Brexit means Brexit and we are not re-joining the EU. He will then go into a long and convoluted reason why he has signed up to free movement and a raft of other EU decrees and diktats that are oh so very necessary and render Brexit void. I guarantee, Starmer will ensure the UK will in all but name, once more become the 28th state.
Starmer is a liar and a charlatan, he will betray this country, few will be surprised.
