Labour dont actually have any all women shortlists at the moment.
Also in a survey published yesterday 60% of Labour voters supported the idea of Trans being allowed on all women shortlists - so I doubt it will torpedo Labours support at the next election if Izzard is selected to stand.
If Labour can have Corbyn as an MP Izzard is certainly no worse.

I want candidates selected on merit, not simply because they fit a (possibly completely made up) demographic. |
