The EU elections are a disaster for the EU. People have voted in their millions against two major EU policies; Immigration and net zero. Excellent news. It seems that 'people in the know', are predicting that the EU will row back on green pledges. (As New Zealand have) One of the reasons pro EU parties did so badly is apparently because people are worried about the availability and true cost of green energy. |

I suspect that a some of the net zero pledges are irreversible.
I don’t see the move to ban ICE car production being.delayed.
I suspect that instead Europe will be stuck with producing ( and trying to flog) EVs that nobody wants and China shipping over cheap and shitty ICE units .

This may come as a worry for Labour who traditionally rely on young votes; more 18 to 24 year olds across the EU voted for anti immigration/anti net zero, right wing parties than ever before. |

A political ultra-right wave is washing over Europe...... In Germany, the radical right passes the Social Democrats and the Greens...... The European elections are over. The radical right is growing across Europe and appears to be approaching levels of power unprecedented since the 1930s. In Germany, the traditional right of the CDU won with 30% of the vote, but the shocking news was that the extreme AdF (Alternative für Deutschland), won 15.9%. That was more than the Social Democrats (13.9%) and the Greens (11.9%).
The Netherlands is also feeling the ultra wave
In the Netherlands, Geert Wilders' ultra-right party, the PVV, has achieved a major victory by going from one to six seats. The winner of the elections in GroenLinks-PvdA with 8 seats, but the difference is remarkably small with the ultra-right.

Firstably, why should a bad result in an EU-election trigger such a decision.
Secondably, since France is preparing for the olympics one would think you would keep things as stable as possible indtead of creating a political chaos in the run-up to the big games which they so bitterly lost to have hosted already 12 years ago but can host now.

And this was inevitable, given how things are in France.
Also:
The EU needs reform and has not been reformed.
Abolish free movement and have immigration based on visas.
Abolish the Euro, return to national currencies.
Abolish Schengen, go back to having borders.
Abolish the customs union. Return to individual tariff policies.
Abolish the CAP and the CFP.

According to the media today

As predictable as night follows day, the French Government did that some years ago and within days the Rich upped sticks and left France taking their money with them, the far left will never learn from the mistakes they have made in the past
