It bores me listening to all the 'experts', I'm not watching any election build up, I'm just going to switch tv on Friday morning, the next worse thing to a GE is having to watch all the charts graphs polls .... boring.

Agreed. Establishment toads dependent on the public sector trying to condition the young to vote their way isn't my idea of a good time.

"Early indications are..." Who gives a shit - in a few hours you'll have the actual result.

We've got to endure pimply faced Owen Jones wannabes spouting off all their woke snowflake lefty bollocks, the same ones who join the NHS and run it into the ground.

Actually I will watch with some hope that Reform do better than expected and listen to the pontification from the likes of Jones of how dire this is for the country. I thoroughly enjoyed the first results coming through in the Brexit referendum and watched Remainers nervously explaining why it happened. I may be disappointed but I livein hope.

I have a mute button but I will be well away from Channel 4, I may flick to BBC it depends how good the GB news 'election party' is.

Much as I dread the instant destruction likely to be wrought by a Labour administration I think it's better than the slow death presided over by the Tories. At least we'll get the pain over with and hopefully the establishment will destroy itself. And then perhaps we can actually rebuild better. Labour landslide may boost investment and confidence in UK, say City analystsA landslide victory for Keir Starmer in the general election on Thursday could hand Britain a stability premium in global markets, boosting the pound, shares and investment in the UK at a time of mounting political turmoil elsewhere, City investors have said.
In sharp contrast with Conservative party warnings over the dangers of a large Labour majority, analysts in the City of London said the prospect of a resounding mandate for Starmer’s party could secure Britain’s “safe haven” status among investors in an increasingly volatile world.
After failing to close the gap in opinion polls during the election campaign, Rishi Sunak made a last-ditch warning that a Starmer “supermajority” would “bankrupt people in every generation”.
However, City analysts said a Labour landslide could pave the way for global investment in Britain after years of political and economic uncertainty since the 2016 Brexit referendum under the Tories, which had clouded the prospects for international investors.Hmm.... ''City analysts'' with no name (ie made up) What a surprise (not) This is a direct c&p from the very lefty Guardian www.theguardian.com/business/article/2024/jul/03/labour-landslide-may-boost-investment-and-confidence-in-uk-say-city-analysts
