I have no doubt our resident lefty pillock wil be on here crowing all sorts of bollocks The reality of the situation can be seen here
In 2019, with the country shafted by treachery from the speakers chair and a bunch of lefty's enjoying the parliament being shafted as if zombified by puffer fish toxin, a mere 52%of the entire electorate coud be arsed to go toa polling station and do something about it.
This time round two out of three stayed home.
As a result Labour managed to win even though over 2000 people who voted for them in 2019 did not do so this time

Ah ,Ive just wrote a similar take on it in the Westminster section where lefty was as you say crowing . Its a sad state of affairs with Labour looking to get power as people switch off from politics . Just getting your head down and living the best you can without these aholes getting in your way now seems the best policy

But the people who don't vote don't get a say. Only people who do turn out get counted. Hence my vote counts for more in a lower turn out.

And what you get if you do not vote nay displease you In the wake of persistent labour government refusal to confront a particular child abuse problem in a particular ethnicity, i rather rejoiced at the 2009 European election results, but ivalso have no illusion that the antipathy, disillusionment snd general disengagement in the election process, which saw some turnouts drop to below 13%, were in large measure responsible. In 2010 Cabinet Ministers and Welsh Assembly twats were running up and down streets banging doors telling labour diehards ‘for fucks sake get out and vote or you’ll have a BNP MP’ (total bullshit of course but then again when did Carwyn the Clod and Peter Hain ever spout anything but) it WAS amusing watching them running, yes literally running l, from house to house in Bridgend and Neath saying it….

And what you get if you do not vote may displease you Exactly that. But no point in complaining if you didn't do something about it. The issue is that people who voted for the Tories in 2019 are currently not doing so. Those that are staying at home, or those that are voting LibDem/Labour/Reform are destroying the vote. I'd expect turnout will be higher come the GE, so perhaps the question is can the Tories get some of these stay at homes to get out and vote for them.
