I know that the YouGov polls tend to be a bit of an outlier, but this one is quite remarkable, as it would put the LibDems with more seats than the Tories, making them the official opposition.

The LibDems grew out of the SDP, which was formed by a group of miserable Labourites. It's almost like Labour being in opposition with itself. Still, with the level of corruption and hypocrisy within Labour anything is possible. Sort of like Galloway winning seats with Jew hatred alone.

Most of the past and present Lib-dem leaders have been odd balls, misfits, weirdos, eccentrics, the only decent one they had was Charles Kennedy but unfortunately we all know he too had his own problems.

Looking at the age distribution of the Reform intentioned voting on the breakdown, it seems very geared towards the retired vote.

However I am pointing out the demographic, which I think would explain why this board seems overly representative. Unfortunately by doing so they are effectively disenfranchising their politics from the next parliament. I think when it actually comes down to it, quite a few will actually migrate back to the Tories. Old habits die hard.

I’m sorry, but i can’t see the Lib Dems today doing any better than the BNP in 2009
You had to be there in the counting arena in 2011 to see the utter raw hatred created in the Labour party ranks by Clegg’s actions.
I went to the Sophia Gardens Pavilion count for the 2011 Welsh Assembly a year after Clegg enabled Cameron to kick Gordon Brown out of Government
I’ve said numerous times on here that when after the 2010 election about a week had passed and no declaration of a new government had come, Jeremy Vine did a jaw dropping CGI filled piece to camera for the evening BBC News that showed why. By assembling every single non Tory MP snd with Sinn Fein doing the usual, Brown had a majority of TWO in a Rainbow Coalition of All Things Not Tory and the power mad bastard was actually trying to get Alrx Salmand to STFU and get in line and keep Brown in number ten
Salmand repeatedly insisted his price for propping up Brown was massive bribery of all things North Of The Border and he would then only agree to a loose association where his MP’s votes could only be bought on a bill by bill, vote by vote basis
I don’t blame Salmand for exposing himself as such a corrupt mercenary bastard - it’s only an honest portrayal of how most things are done in that palace of Liars Buggers And Thieves anyway, but the shocking thing was Brown was pursuing a policy of persistently trying to reduce that mountain of bribery to something he thought workable, like maybe the amount he pissed down the toilet keeping the banks afloat after the crash, and it fell to Clegg to skulk off to Tory Party HQ and demand erasure of all records of buggery of boys between 16 and 18 by anyone UK wide as his price for becoming Cameron’s Partner At Number Ten
Labour supporters and activists at the 2011 Welsh Assembly count FOUGHT with Lib Dems in more than one counting centre including Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens. I watched and started looking for furniture i could smash to use as a weapon if the violence spread. The police presence at the count was overwhelmed and reinforcements with riot gear were needed
The Lib Dem support fell faster than the Ariane 5 spacecraft and buried itself in similar swamps.
If the Lib Dems get anywhere at the next GE i’ll take the Fedora i wear to Swanage Blues and Brecon Jazz, dissolve it in hot conc sulphuric, titrate the solution with sodium hydroxide, collect the residue on rice paper in a filter funnel, spread it on cheese on toast in place of the usual marmite snd eat it

Actually you're right in that the LibDems vote share is predicted to go down from what they got in 2019. However because the Tory vote is sink lower, this will actually get them more seats under FPTP.
