There were anti immigration protests and clash with police over the weekend in towns across Ireland. As far as I'm aware there's almost a news blackout on UK TV, apart from GB News, obviously. Riots are more than protests, but what do you expect from a nation that was founded by violent uprising, when faced with mass immigration they didn't ask for. A nation founded by violent uprising? Christ you dont half talk some utter nonsense. Ireland was a nation before England existed. It's one of the oldest nations in continuous existence in Europe. Your country invaded them relentlessly , pillaged them , starved them to death so that irelands population is less now than what it was 200 years ago , and you have a dig about violent uprisings? I can't think why they weren't happy under English rule Vinny can you?? As for the topic of the thread , another distraction from Englands massively growing immigration problems which dwarf whats happening in ireland. Among much else.

I think their problems could be worse. 20% of the population was born outside Ireland, in England it is a little less than that at about 18%

I think their problems could be worse. 20% of the population was born outside Ireland, in England it is a little less than that at about 18% England is more densely populated than ireland , hence why it's a bigger problem. I dont agree with mass uncontrolled immigration , ive said so numerous times , and its a problem much of Europe and the world has to face , but irelands problems are not your problems , and they are in a better position in terms of less population density , land and being richer per head to cope with many issues compared to the uk aka greater England. Ireland is three fifths the size of England , but England has ten times the population , with Englands migrant population dwarfing that of irelands whole population migrant and native. so im not sure what you think is worse , and as I said , yet another distraction from the issues on the home front in the wider uk.

It partly boils down to usable land and overwhelming of the indigenous population of Ireland. If the population was just 100 then 20 of those being culturally and linguistically different presents a problem. It is not just numbers but proportionality that is important. In Scotland about 1 in 10 are English, some campaign for Independence but most will be Unionist. They have not left due to not wishing to be in the Union but mainly because they are escaping from the areas where immigrant inundation has occurred. Ireland has a problem because vast amounts of their rubbish, actual rubbish that is, drives past our house and until recently was deposited in a landfill site about a mile away; now it carries on to God knows where.
