What should that Police Officer have done Red He should not have made excuses for someone waving a swastika. (Whether he saw it or not) The Swastika is not banned in the UK, from what I read the Person or Persons with Swastikas on their Flag or Placard had already moved on with the march before the woman complained to him, the Officer she was complaining to was assigned to where he was more then likely to keep the march moving No Offence IMHO,

No Offence IMHO, Yes I'm aware the swastika is not legally banned, but even if it was would it have made a difference? The police allow London to be brought to a standstill every weekend, they have ignored Hamas and Isis flags, they have allowed protestors to project 'from the river to the sea' images onto Big Ben, why would they find anything wrong with something as innocent as a swastika?

I would have thought that was legitimate comment. It matters little if it is true or not it is a stance to take even if one is misguided in that outlook. Unfortunately many on the left believe in their right to hold such views but demand sanction and legal action against those who may hold alternative views and often symbolism is demanded to be banned and on occasions that symbolism is the swastika.

As I stated earlier the Police have to allow and are charged with upholding and facilitating Peaceful Protest , they have no say in the matter like it or not, as I stated earlier the Police have to seek the Home Sec approval to ban any Protest provided they have good grounds to suspect violent disorder may take place. Do you think the Police like these protests week in week out ? Not a lot IMHO

After all, the KKK aren't banned...

You are moving the goalposts Red the Police are not making excuses as I explained earlier Peaceful Protest is a right we all have , in the unlikely event if the KKK did hold a Protest March here they would not be allowed to cover their faces, and would not be allowed to hold hold it in certain sensitive areas such as Brixton, or simply banned with the Home Sec approval.
The Officer will not face any Disciplinary Action according to todays Evening Standard

Furry muff. But was that part of the same incident that the OP references? The banner is equating the Israeli government with Nazis which is far as I can see is a legitimate accusation. NB I am not saying it is right but equating anyone with Nazis seems quite the thing to do and not of itself a specific crime. Although Israel may have a more extreme relationship with Nazis does not negate the the right of others to make that accusation. In essence it is not anti-semitic it is perhaps insensitive but then we are in areas where polarisation of views is extreme. What sticks most in my craw is that the left are the first to jump on insensitive banners/comments but brook no criticism of their own shortcomings.

"Holocaust inversion", which that is an example of, is internationally recognised to be defacto anti-Semitism.
