Two knifemen on the loose and three people in hospital fighting for their lives after multiple stabbings on public transport in London over the past 24 hours. Terrifying footage shared on social media showed a man wielding a large knife on board a Southeastern train shortly before 4pm as he stood over another man as horrified passengers looked on - before the attacker fled the scene. In terms of personal security London doesn't even make to top ten in Europe. It ranks 22nd globally, just slightly better than Washington DC and Chicago, two of the most violent large cities in the US. It's most likely safer in the richer areas, which have a heavy police presence (big budget there), but there are areas that are full of criminal scum where car jacking is a career move. Basically, it's too big/over populated and divided to really consider it one place.

You'd probably need to go down to the ward level to distinguish safer areas, but if you look at the borough level White British people are a majority in just four (Richmond, Bexley, Havering and Bromley). The other 28 all have majority populations of migration background so it would be prudent to consider them as less safe especially if you are looking for somewhere to live or to send your children to school.

Most states don't break down the crime figures per nationality, but Denmark decided to break the tradition.
