Not surprising the SNP are so desperate to get into the EU - their auditing practices are pretty identical.. That is why they are asking the owners before it was nationalised in 2019. Do you actually understand what you are talking about. Clearly not. What happened to the £13 billion on MOD procurement that cannot be accounted for. Since 2010. Or the billions on PPE.

Not surprising the SNP are so desperate to get into the EU - their auditing practices are pretty identical.. They're abysmal with money, absolutely abysmal in every other area too. Hope they get absolutely battered in the near future. Proverbially speaking, not literally.

ah....but the ferries.... [/quote]Ah but According to stupid Englishmen the £70 million ferry cock up is a nuclear disaster that Scotland will never recover from. It is beyond me how they ignore the absolute disaster the wankers in Westminster have made of the economy. That have cost hundreds of billions. FFS they loose that amount in a month just storing useless PPE that cost billions and is being stored at £700,000 a day till it is destroyed. No doubt the £700,000 going to Tory donors in the VIP lane.

From what we see the two cases have no similarity other than they are both sea going vessels.
One case is of mechanical problems, unsurprising due to the complexity of design and build, the other case is of duplicity, alleged corruption, missing money and political "interference".
Two quite different cases.

From what we see the two cases have no similarity other than they are both sea going vessels. One case is of mechanical problems, unsurprising due to the complexity of design and build, the other case is of duplicity, alleged corruption, missing money and political "interference". Two quite different cases. No they are not different. Apart from the ferry cock up did not cost you one penny as a English tax payer. So wha t your beef is defies the hell out of me. And when you went on a rant about the ferry that broke down, because it fire fighting equipment was not up to scratch it was different again. Ranting as if the Scots only had one ferry. So perhaps you explain what was different about failing Grayling as he cost the tax payer that's me, £3 billion. Part of that being when he gave a ferry contract to a firm that did not even own a canoe. And you have been told the management of Ferguson Marine have admitted on the ferry contract they had what was called mis management. Having no idea where £128 million went. Which is not alleged, It is missing from the books of Ferguson marine. As you you change the tune, ranting, now ranting alleged corruption. So perhaps you can explain the alleged corruption on the part of the Scottish Government. That you ranted was stolen by the First Minister. Or what about the corruption of the VIP lane costing billions. .Or what about Enoch Braverman and her aircraft, costing millions going nowhere to take people to Rwanda. Or Dis-truss and her destruction of the UK economy in 44 days. A £30 billion black hole and the same in damage to the pension funds of million of people who will lose out, after a life time of saving.. FFS you equate that with a £70 million cock on two ferry's..And you will still be back on here ranting the same drivel. What's up. It is a couple days since your shit on how the FM stole money. Now your shit is about GRR which most of your own countrymen approve. The laughable bit on each and everyone of those subject you are so clueless you do not even have the brains to realise you make a total prat of yourself. It is simply Jock hating drivel. And you still have not told me what your problem with the GGR bill is. Or why you are so screwed up with your Jock hating nonsense. I have told you before. As a Englishman you are in no position to pontificate to anybody anywhere in the world about theft, corruption, racism homophobia, debt borrowing, Lying, idiots or related matters. Get it into that swede of yours. The contract on the ferry was a cock up. Not a fecking nuclear disaster, and now sorted out, and did not cost you a penny. A hiccup to the billions that are a nuclear disaster that the Westminster wankers and its broken Parliament have cost the Scottish Tax payer. howmuchmoneyhaschrisgraylingwasted.org/

No it isn't, there has been an announcement that Hulk 804 or whatever it is called will now be another year late, so it isn't sorted out.
The rest of your post is unanswerable.

No it isn't, there has been an announcement that Hulk 804 or whatever it is called will now be another year late, so it isn't sorted out. The rest of your post is unanswerable. FFS you are like a fecking itch that you cannot be scratched. What is your problem. Its a fuck up now sorted. As your havering slastering drivel keeps changing Yes it is sorted out. It will be a year late. What do you not get. Now sorted. It will not cost you a penny. Now explain Hinkley Point. Owned by the French. Billions over budget. 5 years overdue. That will cost me as a Scottish tax payer. Subsidising Jock haters like you in the process, on a product that Scotland exports by the bucket load. Or explain Sizewell C. Now estimated to cost double the Government estimated. Those pair, that will cost the tax payer, that's me on their own are not a fuck up. They are what you call nuclear disasters. Or how about Crossrail, not once but twice billions over budget, and years late. Not one nail put in Scottish soil. Yet I pay for it. So subsidy junkies in London can get to piss in there office 20 minutes earlier. Or what about the HSL. From £61 billion to £88 billion over budget some three years ago and years overdue. I do not know what it is now. I cannot be arsed checking for you to dismiss with the wave of a hand. Paid for by the Scottish tax payer and not one inch of rail laid in Scotland Or is that different, as you rant, about £70 million. And you wonder why I keep suggesting you bring to a new level the meaning of the word imbecile. www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/may/22/sizewell-c-may-cost-double-government-estimates-and-take-five-years-longer-to-builwww.railnews.co.uk/news/2021/07/09-crossrail-over-budget-again-report.htmlwww.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/hs2-billions-over-budget-behind-17622751

Fortunately your Guardian link doesn't work.
The HS2 is a different matter, it is a vastly complicated 1 off project, it has a host of unknowns, price changes and technical challenges, the budget can only be a guess until all the problems are known, and that doesn't happen until work progresses. Ferries on the other hand are simply a known manufacturing process and can be costed with the benefit of experience.
I am not saying that your comparisons are without validity, but simply not relevant to the subject of the failings of the SNP.
I am not a Jock hater, but simply drawing your attention to the incompetence, venality, ineptitude and allegedly corrupt Parliament that you have so unwisely voted into power.

Watching the back and forward on this I'm struck with how pointless it all is .
I believe that the devolution settlement was very carefully constructed to make sure that scotland couldn't diverge much from the UK mean
Public sector contracts go wrong everywhere and there is nothing especially bad or good about any of them. It's just the private sector taking advantage of politics and public sector contracts
If the NHS or education or road sweeping or anything is poor in the UK, then it will inevitably be poor in Scotland. Maybe a little more or a little less poor, but still poor. I'm not interested in pointless debates about who's worse or better.
As to the big constitutional debate, I'm on the fence. Scotland could have a good future in the UK or a good one alone. Or a bad one either way.
What I'm tolerably certain of, is that the current arrangements don't work and have to change.

They don't work because the SNP are determined that they won't. Their sole aim is to achieve independence and the more that things don't work the better it is for their argument. There is a similarity with Brexit whereby the civil service remainer departments will ensure that Brexit will not be a success.
I suspect that Scotland may be able to manage itself quite well outside the UK, but it is unlikely that it will under the governance of the SNP, whose political immaturity will ensure that a good deal with the UK will be impossible.

Hi Om15
I am sure that they don't work for a whole host of reasons but that could be one of them.
To be fair to the SNP, they've gone through phases of being good and bad and are currently going through a fairly bad phase. What they would be like with ALL the powers no one could know till it happens.
What I'm tolerably certain of is that once the constitution is settled, then they won't win elections, so it's all a bit irrelevant. And that's either way. They probably wouldn't exist in their current form should scotland go independent.

I am not a Jock hater, but simply drawing your attention to the incompetence, venality, ineptitude and allegedly corrupt Parliament that you have so unwisely voted into power. You are a out and out Jock hater. You are beyond debate. Not only that the stupidity you display venting your hate filled bile is beyond believe. Not only that you are completely and totally clueless on Scottish politics. It is just hate filled bile post after post after post. From Ferry's to how the Jocks will have to join the Euro, to how they are products of in breeding to every other load of havering slastering drivel you have posted over the years. And the ferry cock up was created by a firm that was going out of business and had to be bailed out and Nationalised by the Scottish government to save jobs. And for your info. CalMac makes a profit. And even if it did not. It does not cost you a penny. From which it was established that some £127 million in the books of Ferguson Marine still cannot be accounted for. That is what the arsehole Scottish Tories are on about. From which your ranted the FM stole the money. And you could not even understand she had nothing to do with the contract. So what the feck do you know about ferry contracts. You could not even figure out the problem with this one. And the HS2 is not different, neither is Crossrail, Neither is failing Grayling, Neither is the £100 billion unaccounted for from the defence procurement since 2010. Neither is the billions on PPE. They are costing billions of my money. A nuclear disaster, not a cok up. The £70 million ferry feck up did not cost you a penny. And you are drawing attention to nothing. You are spewing ignorant bile. That is what I am drawing your attention to. But that is wasted breath. So perhaps you can draw attention to real incompetence of the Scottish government instead of invented one spewed by the Scottish Tory wankers. Or Labour who are in bed with them Complete with facts and figures. Try it before you post your usual garbage. Then you may get a response. So far you have been 100% wrong, on the bile you post. . Such as your shit about GRR. Which you did not have a clue about till it appeared on your radar about two weeks ago. From then till now making a total arse of yourself. As did your other countrymen. And that bill was passed by a massive majority of 86 to 39. There was no abstentions. That replicates the thinking of your own countrymen. And you still have not vented what your problem with the bill is. Idiotic bile is not a answer. In months, like another 30 or so countries it will also be law in England. Just like the smoking ban.. Take the night off. Go and get pissed. Instead of trawling the internet looking for bile that you conclude suits your hatred of the Jocks. Always wrong.. Ho Ho Ho.

They probably wouldn't exist in their current form should scotland go independent. Well if the SNP are going through a bad patch. In my life time the Scottish Tories have held over 50% of the Scottish vote. Not so long back and indeed in the last Labour government. the same. In terms of the Scottish voting system. If you are unsure I will post a simple version on how it works. So that no party can get a overall majority, Nobody told the Scottish voter that. The SNP succeeded twice. . But it is virtually impossible. To put it in perspective. Not one opposition party member has won on the FPTP basis. All opposition MSPs elected as list MPs. Even the arsehole D.Ross. To put that in perspective. If the SNP were nation wide and on that vote. They would have won 550 or so of the 650 Westminster seats. That is the scale. Unionist party's in Scotland have almost been wiped out in terms of Westminster. . They are hanging by the finger nails in the list seats in Scotland. If that is bad. Well lets just say your idea of bad. Is shall we say different from mines. Polls suggest at the minute. All Unionist party's will be wiped out in Scotland at the next GE. Starmer will need around 30 or 40 of Scottish Labour MPs to gain power. He has one. And likely to lose that. Next up. How drastic a Labour/SNP coalition will be. The SNP are not interested in a coalition. They want out of Westminster and its corrupt system. Have a good new year.
