Teacher in hiding two years after death threats over showing cartoon of prophet MohammedAfter showing pupils the cartoon at Batley Grammar School in West Yorkshire in March 2021, parents and activists protested at the school gates for days. The teacher was forced to flee his home in Batley with his partner and four young children and since then has been living in a secret location outside the Yorkshire area, reports claim. The teacher, who was head of RE at Batley Grammar, has also been given a new identity. www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1743624/Teacher-in-hiding-prophet-Mohammed-cartoon-Batley-Grammar-School-West-YorkshireJust listened to someone on GB News who is in contact with this teacher who said he was a broken man, his life is wrecked. He has been abandoned by his employer and the people who demonstrated and sent death threats have been completely ignored by the police, because they're Muslims. And some people say we do not have two tier policing in this country.

They will blame the teacher for showing pictures of the Prophet, thus inciting hate, division and lack of diversity, they will think that he should be locked up and not allowed to go into hiding. No one in the GB interview came out and clearly said that the situation was caused by Muslims.

Why should anyone in this country have to flee a mob? Why should anyone have to change their name to avoid being victim of a de facto fatwah by an evil cult which is at odds with British values and democracy?
Three years this has been. The school should have backed the teacher from the word go and stood by him. The mob outside the school should have been warned, then arrested. The Police should have brought in support, if necessary, and used judicial orders to stop the intimidation and gatherings.
If they can stop Christians praying near abortion centres, surely they can stop Muslims intimidating a teacher who was lawfully carrying out their duties to teach our children.

This country is a place where the life of Brian was aired, this is our culture and if people want to take the pee out of a Muslim prophet they should and if anyone doesn’t like that they should relocate to a state where it is forbidden.
It’s not Islamophobia, racism or right wing it is in effect treating everyone equally.

The Life of Brian was banned in Scotland. Why was he anti motorhome? Only motorhomes that were bought with dodgy cash.

wapentake It's such a pity that you didn't notice the 'Jewish experience in hospital' thread that was active just a couple of days ago, the fundamentals were remarkably similar, and your voice sticking up for the Nurses would have added some contrast. Instead of Muslim school children, it was a Jewish lad from a 'religious Jewish family'and whereas support for the teacher who upset his Muslim pupils and their parents, for some inexplicable reason Nurses alleged to be wearing 'Free Palestine' badges were considered as the bad guys because this kid and his parents felt uncomfortable. If a teacher wants to take the p*ss out of the prophet the kids and their parents revere and praise in their prayers every night, then sod the lot of them ...too bloody bad if they don't like it ..... but if you track down the Hospital thread, you'll see the exact opposite ..... that it was the feelings of the Jewish lad and his parents that had to take precedence, and far from 'if you don't like the sight of a 'Free Palestine' badge, then don't look at it you little Scrote' it was the Nursing staff who should have bent over backwards and taken into account the sensibilities of the Jewish parents and their son. link - Compare And Contrast

Be careful when slinging accusations around — the royal family had to change its name to please the patriots in this great land by replacing the historic name of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha with Windsor…
