I don't need to explain myself to you, doofus. But, as you're clearly confused, I'll help you out: It's called shift work. That means that I work nights, bank holidays & weekends. And I'm often at work when you're asleep in bed. I'm also part time (because I have a big fat pension from my previous job and a big fat share portfolio). All of which means that I get lots of time off when most other people are at work. It's very good.  Of course, if you'd ever had a proper job, you'd probably know that. But I suppose that we have to make allowances for the ignorant.
Oh part time shift work thought worked in Civil Service several years . Think you s. I Smell a Rat . I am a civil servant, doofus. And what you're smelling is probably your socks. Try changing them now and again or they'll end up crustier than Rayner's knickers. |

Are you working now ? No, doofus. I finished my working week at 0700 hours yesterday morning. I worked nights Friday to Sunday, 12 hour shifts each day.
So, for most people, that's a week's work in three days.
Now I'm off for 5 days.
And when I am working a 12 hour shift (which I don't always) we have these things called "Breaks". That's when you stop work for a bit to have something to eat or watch a bit of telly. Or, in my case, come on here and help you when you're getting confused.
And while I'm not working all of next weekend, I will be working the bank holidays. 12 hours per day, for double time.
Then I'll have a week off, because part time and the job owes me some hours back.
It's good.  |
