Baron, Russia literally had the apartment bombings carried out by the FSB using RDX from Perm.
Operation Ryazan Sugar, what was that about 'comrade'? Why did the FSB announce a truck bombing in Volgodonsk three days before it happened? Why were two members of the Kovolev commission (which investigated the bombings) murdered?
When the Moscow theatre siege happened, everyone one of the "suicide bombers" had a dummy bomb vest and Abu Bakar the leader was allowed to escape. Anna Politkovskaya tracked him down and interviewed him after his escape, he admitted working for the FSB.
Why was Alexander Litvinenko murdered by Dmitry Kovtun and Andrei Lugovoi? Who poisoned Sergei Skripal and his daughter?
Russia is the most corrupt country on the planet. It's run by gangsters.

It seems to me it is a bit like the 9/11 thing. Like nothing conclusive but a lot highly convenient. Russia was lawless during this period so quite possible. It was a bit of a Mafia war going on.

The police literally arrested the Ryazan bombers and were ordered to release them.
Two members of the Kovolev commission were murdered. It's not like 9/11 conspiracy theories, there's actual evidence and people have been murdered because of publication of the evidence including Alexander Litvinenko who was poisoned with Polonium 210.
I have his book.
Get it, read it. Learn why he was murdered.

Just over 10 years later and President Putin had brought order to the country. This is why he is considered a hero today. Back then he had to balance a lot of competing powers. He had to deal with the powerful oligarchs. The difference between his time in office and our prime ministers is in our case they inherit something that works and then fuck it up. President Putin had to go the other way agaisnt a lot of vested interests. I'm sure he made a few cheeky manoeuvrers. Wiki has almost a book's worth of text on that issue alone. I don't have the time to follow it all. I just see Russia is fitter now than 20 years back.

Nope, 1991- present is Russia's warlord period. In 1991 the KGB tried coup number 1. Gorbachev was placed under house arrest. Mass protests on the streets caused the coup to fail. Coup number 2, Gorbachev was got rid of anyway, Yeltsin was installed. Yeltsin was nobbled. More and more ex KGB men started to appear in his government. Chechnya was invaded in 1994 and occupied until defeat in 1996. 1998 Galina Starovoytova who was speaking out against the former KGB, was murdered by them.
Chechnya remained independent until reinvasion started in 1999 after the apartment bombing false flag attacks which Chechens had no motive to carry out (and evidence proves their innocence).
1999 onwards, Putin initially pretended he would root out corruption. He jailed one of the mafia and threatened the rest with prison unless they gave him 50 percent.
All rival parties have been neutralised. Any credible threat, he has murdered.
Read the books of those he has killed, start with Anna Politkovskaya's book.
