In what way are the US 'in dispute' with the UK over a matter Obama proposed a settlement ? For there to be a breach of The Logan Act, an unauthorised person would have to enter into treaty negotiations with a country with which the US is in dispute. I'm not sure what he did rates as that. What did I miss ?? That's the doubt. What was he here for? A tech deal with Rishi, perhaps? Or something far more important. Not sure we will ever know. Probably offering Rishi a job in Silicon valley to start in December...

I rather suspect he was setting up Rishi’s new job for him

Its already happened, on the news Apple already has an income greater than 117 countries. You mention a private city being well run, indeed, it wont be democratic, i mentioned a few times how seriously bad democracy is. Politicians could learn a few things about running countries from well run companies. Indeed, the simplest of things, to be solvent, is beyond western democracy. Even though income from multiple sourrces is astronomical. We are truly run by the stupid, incompetent, mentally ill, fked up cretins. Sure it can be democratic. You could have a city where you have to buy a stake to live there, where the citizens are in effect shareholders, and financial / social decisions are put to the citizens. You could vote for the mayor / ceo to ensure accountability. I live on a newish housing estate and it is run by a management company. The citizens of the estate decide on the rules and finances. The citizens decided max 2 pets, no works vans, no caravans (except for day before departure) etc. We had a vote if we wanted a bin for dog shit and where it would be placed etc. The problem with the current system is that most people feel so remote from democracy that they don't bother to interact with it.

I pointed out here and elsewhere when i was 17 my sort of marginal tory mp went out of his way to organise coaches to take soon to be voters up to the house of commons to show us around and it certainly gave me a sense of what the place was. In stark contrast nobody gave a shit when my daughters approached voting age, and canvassers are as rare as rocking horse shit

I am so glad that the "Gammons" of these boards are upset and irrate that so many top political posts are now occupied by British people of black and Asian origin. Of course you are, which is why your type insist of race quotas and scream about institutional racism to deny white people jobs in their own country. I'm sure it's a right turn on for you, and on top of that, you get to use racial slurs.

Typical shite as spouted by xenophobes and illiterates I bet you read The Daily Mail, who like you also add things to what people HAVE NOT SAID or suggested. It was government initiated public inquiries who concluded that institutional racism exist, not me, but they are correct, the Metropolitan Police for example was riddled with racist attitudes from top to bottom. When you finally realise and accept REAL history, that British Caribbean people, born as British citizens in the Caribbean suffered horrendous discrimination after coming here, and that it took many generations, and government legislation to improve life for these people, then you will be qualified to have an opinion based upon the realities of history. To hint or suggest that only people of a certain colour can be British, has a very strong scent of Hitlers policies of 1930s Germany.

Typical shite as spouted by xenophobes and illiterates You said: You get off on trying to upset white people whilst using racial slurs, so your response was predictable as well as meaningless when coming from you. I have to admit, watching some vile racist antisemitic Labour supporter this triggered can be pleasurable.
