Six years after they murdered her they poisoned Viktor Yuschenko.
Sixteen years after they murdered her they stole Donetsk Luhansk and Crimea.
24 years after they murdered her they launched a full scale invasion to take Kyiv.
The invasion failed, they suddenly started offering "negotiations" but news of the Bucha Massacre sank any chance of compromise from the Ukrainians and only total withdrawal of Russian occupying forces will do now.

The imperialism of the Red Army and the Soviet Union is no different to the imperialism of todays Russia, the Soviet Union wanted to create a Europe under the heel of the USSR, with puppet governments, and Putin is looking for the same ... to that end there is no doubt.
Ukraine was an entirely peaceful country with absolutely no quarells with any of its neighbours, and Ukraine had no great desire to join NATO ... UNTIL the unwarrented aggression and theft of what was ( and still is ) sovereign Ukrainian territory, as officially recognised by Russia in 1991.
There is, and there never has been any legitimate reason or excuse for Russia's aggression towards its neighbour, other than the fact that Russia does not want to allow Ukraine to forge closer ties with the EU and the West ... Putin thinks that he has the right to recreate the Soviet Union, and to keep Ukraine as it was, a puppet state with Putin pulling the strings.
Putin has created frozen conflicts and has invented puppet states in Moldova and Georgia where no such state previously existed.
We must listen to the leaders of Eastern European nations as they repeat over and over, that Putin will not stop at Ukraine if he manages to overpower Ukraine.
But by far the biggest future threat to Ukraine is Donald Trump as President of the United States
If a US President ever throws Ukraine to the bear, the US must never be forgiven, and I forsee the possible end of NATO.

Russia is now the only foreign operator of an airbase in the country.
The US confirmed was the funding operation of biological laboratories researching certain diseases and pathogens in Ukraine. Russia has claimed that these labs were also conducting (or could in the future conduct) research and development on chemical and biological weaponry. Many Q-Anon and other right-wing conspiracy theorists have repeated the Russian accusations.
But you're correct in stating both sides have warmongers...

I loaded some time back a YouTube clip with Vicky Nuland being grilled by a senate committee about biolabs there, they were concerned that US research would fall into Russian hands. The bigger question is why you would have labs developing biological tech close to Russia. |
