In relation to the rumour spread on line re the man arrested during the Protest Protest, here is what the Met has stated The Metropolitan Police has denied that a protester arrested at a march in London was cuffed because his sign said 'Hamas is terrorist'. Niyak Ghorbani, 37, an Iranian counter-protester was at the centre of a brawl amid predominantly peaceful scenes on Saturday in the city centre. Video of him being arrested was shared on social media but the Met has said on X that he was not taken in because of the message he was carrying, which had raised tempers of protesters around him. Footage on social media shows a scuffle between Mr Ghorbani and three or four others, before Mr Ghorbani is shown being taken away by police officers. Scotland Yard confirmed the man was de-arrested after a review. The UK government states that Hamas is a terrorist organisation. A statement, shared on Sunday on Twitter, read: “A video has been posted [on Twitter] alleging officers arrested a man for having an anti-Hamas placard. “This is not accurate. He was arrested after an altercation was ongoing and officers intervened to prevent a breach of the peace. He was arrested for assault. “Officers then fully reviewed the footage of the incident and he was later de-arrested. “The arrest was not made in relation to the placard.” Mr Ghorbani later told the Mail on Sunday: “I think the police are totally wrong. It is a total double standard. It is one rule for the Palestinian protesters and another for me. It is hypocrisy.” Source Evening Standard Wonder how the cops can justify only arresting the sole man( slinging him to the floor , cuffing and carting him off for however many hours until ''later'') and not also arresting the pro Palestinians also involved in the alleged altercation? Long hanging fruit?

There is always two sides to every story, only the people who were there at the time know what really happened the Rumour circulated on X appears to me to be false they appear to have assumed guessed wrongly of why he was arrested at the time. I was not there so no idea what really happened

It looked like a snatch squad. I have not seen any of the footage so possibly you are right When was the last time you saw a JSO protester sprayed with pepper spray?

He is own worst enemy all he had to do was walk with the Police , instead he struggled and an Officer decided to spray him

I agree that appears to be the case, that is why the Police de-arrested him once they had seen the footage afterwards, the Protesters that ripped his Placard out of his hands probably disappeared into the crowd

Two police officers who confronted an elderly disabled man with dementia at a care home by using a Taser, baton and incapacitant spray have been handed gross misconduct notices and are under investigation for manslaughter.

I have little sympathy for him he likes the publicity, it appears he was arrested in London for breaching his Bail conditions , he was ordered by the Court not to enter London until his case comes to Court accused of refusing to leave a designated area put in place by Police to prevent any trouble at a Protest Nothing wrong with our Legal System the Police have no choice but to arrest him for Breaching his Bail, that is why he is being held in custody until he can be put before a Court on Monday, then the Magistrate will decide if he stays in custody until his trial date or Bailed again Would he be in court on monday if he were a mossie hate preacher? Even more so would he have even been arrested? Robinson would not have left his house unless he felt sure that he would be arrested.
The man is an attention whore

I think Robinson is a brave fellow though going into immigrant areas is going to cause trouble as he is seen as being a racist trouble maker.
He has fallen foul of the police and courts so needs to be careful yet still goes to areas which are going to cause trouble.
He could just go on the airwaves yet unfortunately come across as extremely working class and sounding rather thick, of course it might be an act. I can't see a bright future for him though certainly he will attract a like-minded group at least for a while longer.
I think eventually he will end up on the dole and being seen as a failed nutcase.

Whatever I don't think those vulnerable and old people who have been subdued with pepper spray and heavy handed tactics just shrug and say whatever.
