Re the thread title, if I actually lived in a democracy I might feel qualified to comment. But as it stands, no. Representative Democracy is sensible democracy. The weakness, as in all forms of democracy, is the power (often the money power) that intentionally deceives and misleads the electorate. Exacerbated these days by the social media that is open to all kinds of idiots. So don't blame the system, blame society.
