Yes indeed posters, street lighting to be dimmed, bin collections reduced, services to be slashed and council tax raised by 21% over two years which will add £350 to the average council tax bill. Why? Because Labour run Birmingham City Council the largest local authority in Europe is bankrupt and has to make £300 million of cuts. On the bright side, I suspect council officers generous salaries perks and pensions will not be affected. link
Remember kids, vote Labour lol. Can't take the words of the Torygraph as being politically reliable. Well perhaps the Tories can LOL. Especially if government cuts in council funding over the last decade is not taken into account.

Birmingham is not the only Council in financial difficulties, however Labour Councils have a long history of overspending, my Council Tax has gone up again as Mayor Khan wants more money Labour councils have a history of winning seats in poorer areas and therefore many of the electorate need to lean heavier on council funding.

You need to take your head out of the sand and see what's going on. It really is a Brave New World.

Pembrokeshire Council ( NOT run by Labour ) the council tax rise is 12.5%
Wrexham Council ( run by a Conservative - Independent coalition ) the council tax rise is 9.9%
Conwy Council ( NOT run by Labour ) the council tax rise is 9.7%
EVERY Conservative run local authority from the Humber to the Scottish border is putting Council Tax up BY MORE THAN THE RATE OF INFLATION, and in most cases by the maximum amount allowed.
BUT HERE'S THE CRUSHING FACT FOR LABOUR CRITICS .... I live in a Tory controlled council, and this next year I will be paying MORE for my Band D property than someone living in Birmingham.

Just looked at Sigoma, looks like a Labour front for knocking the Tories.
For sure councils are in trouble putting up parking restrictions everywhere driving SMEs out of business on top of those lost due to COV-ID then using that car parking system that can only be used by Smart Phone users.
Building cycle lanes and then having to change them as traffic becomes gridlocked and there are no cyclists.
My old man's rates are going up to almost 3k a year for a two bed bungalow in a Zone D.

Not sure why you mention Pembrokeshire council, which is run by independents, Labour, Liberal Democrat and Plaid Cymru. Jeez, that sounds like a right cock up lol. Maybe they're putting council tax up by 12.5% to pay for all those urgently needed 20mph road signs.
