He is an entertaining character though no matter what you think of his ideology. There aren't nearly enough characters in politics these days. I'd rather have more competence than characters.

You mean "professional politicians" who have never known anything else since leaving university with a PPE degree or an LLB.
There's certainly more than enough of them around.

Galloway has done nothing else apart from politics since leaving school - in fact his core skill seems to be standing for election to one thing or another.

No he like Corbyn worked for a Trade Union neither of them have held a proper Job or Trade , before they went on to enter Politics

George Galloway took a dig at politicians as he arrived at Parliament to be sworn in as the new MP for Rochdale on Monday (4 March). Mr Galloway was announced as the winner of the Rochdale by-election in the early hours of Friday (1 March), with the Workers Party of Britain leader receiving just under 40 percent of the vote.
According to the BBC George Galloway has said he wants to oust Labour's deputy leader from Parliament, as he began work as an MP. The Workers Party of Britain leader said his party could overturn Angela Rayner's majority in her Ashton-under-Lyne constituency at the next election. He was sworn in as an MP, following his by-election win last week. Speaking to reporters afterwards, he listed more areas with large Muslim populations and vowed to "win or make sure that Keir Starmer doesn't win". He named the Labour deputy leader's seat as a target, saying: "There's at least 15,000 supporters of my point of view in her constituency." "There's at least 15,000 supporters of my point of view in her constituency." Er, in other words he means Asians. Watched him on TV the other day, briefly mentioning what he was going to do for Rochdale, then going on to say his party would be targeting all surrounding areas: Oldham, Bury, Bolton, Burnley, Nelson and Colne. All full of Asian voters. Quelle surprise.

He's a very irritating person but I find myself agreeing with him very often, which kind of worries me. He often says many of the right things guaranteed to appeal to left wing hearts. I find he is often capable of saying much that I agree with at times. But we nevertheless need to understand that just because he spouts a lot of things that many of us on the left might have some sympathy with, this does not guarantee that he is a paragon of virtue. He has his own agenda, which just happens to include appealing to left wingers. Some of my comrades are too easily taken in by him for this reason. The thing is though, can you name me anyone in the chamber left or right not driven in the same way.

The thing is though, can you name me anyone in the chamber left or right not driven in the same way. Some much more so than others and Galloway more than most. The ones who adhere too strongly to their principles rather than toeing the party line tend not to get on. They are regarded as unreliable lobby fodder. The worst cases tend to be thrown out of their parliamentary parties sooner or later. I have seen it inside a party at local level. Anyone of principle who believes in something is blocked from getting on at every turn. The only ones who ever get anywhere are the ones who do what they are told. And so we get rising to the top a bunch of self-interested egos far more interested in their own career advancement than they are in us. Ideological positions and principles are adopted only as a means to win votes and advance their careers. If the people reject their faux principles, then they soon find others.

Had a phone problem so this may or may not be a duplicate post
The claims Galloway might ‘oust rayner’ prompted me to poke about in the election results …
He might just do it.
The 2015 snd 2017 elections saw what i would call ‘comfortable’ majorities over all others of the 8k - 12k mark with 2019 seeing a plunge obviously down to labour’s brexit sabotage
With Starmer siding with Israel i can’t see an islamic vote going to Labour. A pro Islam candidate might just pull it off.
Personally i hope they do. The country needs a wake up call and i think the dumping of the deputy party leader, not parliamentary party leader but party leader out of the commons and into the gutter might serve the purpose and if the price is halal chicken and no pork on Ashton Under Lyme’s school meals menu well who gives a shit as i don’t live there …

"I believe in the Resurrection. I believe God restored the life of Jesus of Nazareth and took him to his bosom. The example of suffering and sacrifice followed by vindication is central to my religious belief."

Objectivism states that they can't really be anything other than anti-white people who disagree with them, considering they believe that only white people can be racist. So, we have self-loathing hypocrites (nice earner for them) speaking for terrorist organisations, Jew haters and, erm, "anti-racists".
I can see why the Left/Islamists are attracted to them.

He was naive to allow himself to be used by Galloway, however briefly.
