Its no surprise at all .The firearms guys do it for little reward and a lot of risk to their jobs should they find themselves having to make split second decisions . Hopefully the met will give clear guidelines of rules of engagement that are a bit more policeman friendly than they are at present , they might get a few more takers

The police firearms officers should be given immunity from prosecution with the exception of obvious criminal behaviour.

The thin Blue Line is getting thinner and thinner, Officers are leaving due to poor pay and conditions long anti-social hours and being stereotyped by the Press and pressure groups, almost daily
Last time I looked 250 Firearms Officers have handed in their Firearms Tickets, since the Officer was charged with murder I don't blame them

Yes the large 4x4 Audi had been flagged up on ANPR the day before as being involved in a Firearms incident hence Officers including Firearms Officers were deployed to stop it, eventually a hard stop was put in place and the Audi was boxed in, all Kaba had to do was put his hands up do as he was told and get out of the Audi and he would still be alive. |
