When I was at school no one got murdered. If you were disruptive you got a whack, which generally had the desired effect. But as far as I can remember no one got expelled or indeed, murdered. Of course in those days, kids were treated as kids rather than fragile wall flowers and respect was a given. |

Charlie, please belive me when I say immigration is not 'my' pet subject. Immigration is the biggest issue facing this country today. Maybe it is but you don't have to link.nearly every Crime to it Red . So you think it's a bigger issue then COSTS OF LIVING CRISIS OR THE ECONOMY? I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago, but for you Charlie I'm mention it again... I'm a friendly sort of a chap and speak to strangers quite easilly. Whether in the pub, supermarket, walking in town or in a restaurant I will usually strike up a brief conversation with a stranger. After a minute or so I decide whether to get political, and I usually do. I'll say something like... too much immigration in my opinion, and the reaction is almost always one of relief, I can almost hear them thinking, oh thank god, I can talk freely and sometimes they really let go. People tend to be guarded what they say in case they're talking to an outraged lefty who's going to scream racist, or homophobe or Islamophobe or some other... phobe. Charlie lefties are like pampered kids who have never seen the realities of life, they're all very virtuous until the shit hits the fan and it will, again. At which point they'll have two choices, pee their pants and cry, or grow the fuck up. |

I blame it on Blairs education reforms of the early 00's . He bribed good community schools mainly against the wishes of teachers and parents to become independent academies open to all . Freedom of choice may be a good thing in most cases but when you get lots of kids from outside your community coming to your school its no wonder the behaviour becomes a problem .
Where you used to know or at least know of any poorly behaved kids (and dealt with it within the community) you were faced with the prospect of badly behaved children nobody knew from outside the area
"It isnt fair when parents have no other option than to send their children to poor local schools" he said . Not for one moment thinking about the schools they would be going to and the consequences for them
Blairs objective was a better education for all , where kids from areas with poor schools could go to areas with good schools, the result was all the schools became poor .
The bad behaviour of pupils just came with it .

Labour destroyed many of the Grammar Schools a pet hate and envy of two Jags Prescot who failed the 11 plus, instead of bringing the Secondary Modern Schools up to the Grammar better standards, of teaching and discipline
Labour introduced University Fees which now means those who do go to Uni end up with a huge bill to pay off at the end of the day, two of my Grandkids could have gone to Uni but refused as they did not want to incur such debt, one is in her last year at Uni she will owe roughly £35,000 she has two choices, either pay it off bit by bit over many years, or emigrate.
One of our close friends was a Teacher for 40 years in Hackney and North London , many kids starting in Junior school could not even tie their own shoes laces, or use a knife and fork, and had never been taught the basics of how to read by their parents, many admitted they did not have any books at home.
Our schools have been failing our youngsters for a long time, far too many are leaving school with little or no educational qualifications at all, therefore unemployable, having interviewed many youngsters for Jobs many cannot express themselves well every other word is " Like " poor communication skills
In some homes there is little or no parental guidance no discipline, there is little discipline in our schools I see that everyday as they pass my house and the fights that break out very often, there is no discipline in parts of the country hence the amounts of violence and crime increases

Well I first began to recognise immigration in my neck of the woods in my early teens and noticed the Awful paint jobs on external walls that has long gone thank God. Also there was a lot of Pakistani bashing by Skinheads that doesn't seem to be much of problem these days because there more acceptable these days. Where has it benefit the town they opened business and took over ones like newsagents Where the whites refused to invest anymore i.e like British steel and British Leyland. Nearly every surgery has immigrate doctors has well has hospital. Love Indian-Chinese food has much has British standard foods. Wider variety of food.in supermarkets has well has there own busines They were moved into unfortunately sub standard property what was left deselect for years only a few people lived in them .so generated income for local councils what helped pay for local services. The down side they brought crime like Muslim Grooming and run the local. Class A drug rings. But that already excited Pre immigration. But I think the positive out Ways the negative so dose most of the white British population. Can I Ask you a question if your so against. Immigration why are you a immigrant in France can you explain that? |
