....and across Third World Britain. www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/uk-councils-1m-plan-dim-32161657.ampCouncils across the UK have detailed their plans to dim or completely turn off streetlights during the early hours of the morning - but the move has been criticised for putting women's safety at risk. Enabling imported predators to operate with impunity. (Apologies to any Bee Gees fans but the analogy was too good to miss)

Don't really see a lot of harm in dimming the lights ,predators are what they are whatever the light levels

And maybe they won't . Darkened streets would mean the use of full beam meaning drivers should be more aware of whats in front of them

(Apologies to any Bee Gees fans but the analogy was too good to miss)Many of the councils have already been doing this Ginny...Just across the water from me in Torbay council turned all the strings of coloured lights off along the sea front under the ECO flag several years ago... There used to be a crew of 4 workmen who used to replace the bulbs that had burnt out and make sure that they all worked OK. Now they have been replaced with LED bulbs which do not require so much maintenance and are only switched on a few hours at night during the winter months.....The only thing I can suggest is that girls walking home at night carry a flashlight in their purce or handbags..... With all thats going on in our country now thanks to the uninvited it seems a ludicrouse way of thinking..

Pity we are not allowed to carry anything with which to defend ourselves in this country.

I'm quite happy to see the streetlights turned off in the wee hours.
I doubt there's many women walking home alone at 3am.

The decision is always the same. Tried by 12 not carried by 6.

The sun don't shine at night, and if it's not windy where's the electricity comming from? It will be like going back to Victorian times. It's just another benefit of net zero.
