A bit of good news according to the Daily Express today.
One of the "most active" Channel smuggling gangs has been dismantled in an international operation, the Daily Express has learned.
Some 15 Iraqi-Kurdish suspects were arrested after a joint investigation by the Belgian, French and German authorities.
Eurojust said the 18-month probe "led to the dismantling of one of the most active networks involved in the smuggling of migrants across the English Channel in small boats."
The gang are said to have smuggled asylums seekers from the Middle East and Eastern Africa in "low quality inflatable boats".
Further details are expected to be released on Thursday, but it is understood houses and storage units were raided in Germany.
The Daily Express understands British officers were aware of the operation and provided intelligence. They were said to have been embedded in the Eurojust Coordination Cell.
Every little helps IMHO, we need more hits like this

The way to make a dent in it would be arrange for people involved in the operations to start 'going missing' without any official explanation

Another hit in London this time
Two men believed to be part of a north London smuggling ring have been arrested after a series of police raids.
The pair, both Albanian nationals, were arrested in Finsbury Park on Tuesday morning, and are believed to be part of a gang booking people flights into the UK with fake documents.
In a statement, the Home Office said that the network of traffickers allegedly booked 27 migrants onto 11 flights, and told them to claim asylum using their passports on arrival.
Class A drugs were found at the London property during the raid. One of the men was later arrested on suspicion of drugs supply.
The two men were identified after investigating officers - from the Home Office Criminal and Financial Investigations team and Border Force - connected their booking details with migrants arriving on flights illegally between July 2022 and January 2023.
Officers found evidence of fake UK biometric residence permit documents and airline tickets issued by the suspects to migrants attempting to reach the UK illegally.

Yes every little helps , it takes a long time to gather the intelligence to secure enough evidence to make arrests and put them before a Court
