Causing death by careless driving was a very mild charge and explains how he escaped prison. When people were guarding the body and he ignored them, surely there is evidence of a murder or manslaughter charge.
I cannot understand why this was so leniently dealt with.
The only mitigation was that it was at night, but he still ignored the two people trying to protect the vulnerable man.
