Boris Johnson's comeback boosted as he tops poll of Tories to take on Keir Starmer......
Boris Johnson has topped a new poll of Tory politicians to take on Sir Keir Starmer in a fresh comeback boost.
The survey asked respondents who they would back over the Labour leader and different Conservative politicians in a head-to-head.
Mr Johnson was the only one to outperform Rishi Sunak and beat other Tories including former home secretary Suella Braverman, Business Secretary Kemi Badenoch and Commons Leader Penny Mordaunt.
Boris Johnson ‘would bring back half of lost Tory votes’ and is favourite to replace Sunak, poll finds.....
Boris Johnson would win back voters lost under Rishi Sunak and is still the preferred choice to replace him as leader, a new poll suggests.
The survey of 13,534 Conservative voters found that the former prime minister remains the most popular candidate to succeed Mr Sunak – beating ten senior Tories including Lord Cameron, Suella Braverman and Kemi Badenoch...

Johnson is a disaster, the author of all our problems. He is still a threat to the left tho...You can hear the usual lefties arses creacking all the way down here in Devon...
'Never say never': Nigel Farage hints he could rejoin Tory party as part of 'dream ticket' with Boris Johnson....

I do wonder what planet these people live on if they think Boris and Farage have universal appeal.
The Tories are done now for at least the next two, probably three elections. Like Labour did, they will probably swing to the extreme and get wiped out a second / third time, before returning to something sensible.
Most of the electorate want the same things, you just have to make a case that you are the best ones to deliver it.

There isn't a politician alive that is held in high esteem by the public, that is the problem lol. Starmer (30% popularity) polls higher than them both (29% Boris, 29% Farage).

Johnson was stitched up like a kipper, he was punished for delivering Brexit, he was set up to fail, even now with Sunak in charge the Remoaners still call the shots, and the Civil Service will only take orders from the lefties, I think Johnson had more to give but he was set up, Partygate was a sham.

Johnson is a disaster, the author of all our problems. A tad harsh I think. For sure policy wise Boris wasn't Conservative enough for me, but I still liked him. Getting rid of Boris will go down in the annals of Conservative party history as the worst move they ever made. Right now the Tories need a good communicator, a likeable salesman, a good campaigner who connects with people. That's right, they need Boris now more than ever. Thing is, even if he could, would he be willing to take a massive pay cut to come back into politics?

A Boris and Farage dream team? The Tories have lost their minds....... Farage is a natural Tory but I very much doubt he would be interested in joining the Tory party, not right now anyway. At the moment Farage is popular he's a big hitter who's stock is going up, why would he join a party who are probably about to lose an election? I can see Boris and Farage back at the top of politics, but not now, not yet.

It is a safe bet to say that Boris' biggest worry is if Sunak resigns before the general election, because if the good Lord became Tory leader before then, He would still get a kick in the goolies.
After the election things will be different. The Tories will be looking for a new leader and revenge, which means that Sunak will be out on his ear and Bojo back as party leader.

If or when the Tories lose the election, there will be civil war in the Tory party, it will be carnage but hopefully the centrists will be deposed and replaced with proper centre right Conservatives.
