I question the article claim they paid 200.000 for a house that was marked to be demolished . 200.000 ' 300.000 for 2 bed room house in Northamptonshire. In General a house in such Condition fetch around 40.000 -70,000 mark |

In General a house in such Condition fetch around 40.000 -70,000 mark Well you might have something there, the Council would probably give them between 40.000 - 70.000 mark, then bill the tax payers on paper for £200,000, and pocket the difference, wouldn't put anything past these councils. |

If the cut and paste monkey had read the article , he would have gleaned that the house wasn’t derelict, it was ‘ neat and well cared for ‘….and occupied.
The scandal isn’t that the council are incompetent ( we expect that ) it’s that the council was willing to buy a house for immigrants and not the local people that needed a home .
