What makes it so dangerous is that it's not hard to imagine Khan saying those words..
If he was claiming that immigration was too high then we would all know that the recording was fake..

Fakery could lead to the total breakdown of news, social media, and ultimately, world order.
We know we cannot trust anything on audio, video or photograph any more. This is particularly important in report of current conflicts, Ukraine, Middle East etc.
Digital manipulation itself needs to be outlawed, but the Internet is pretty much like the wild west, full of bandits and criminals wanting to gain for themselves.
