Brussels approves historic migration crackdown as EU shifts to the rightThe EU has voted to introduce a historic crackdown on migration, in what is seen as a shift to the right. The Migration Pact was approved by EU ambassadors yesterday evening. It proposes the detention of migrants for up to six months as well as the detention of unaccompanied minors deemed to be a security risk. The new migration pact comes in the wake of mounting pressure on the EU to introduce measures to crackdown on migration from its member states. It comes alongside the mounting popularity of right-wing parties in member states, most of whom are campaigning on a promise to limit migration - linkRemind me, what was it Fuhrer Merkel said when the EU were opening job centres in Africa? Oh yes that's it... 'Wir schaffen das' - We can manage. Ha.

That would be Führerin Merkel I believe Red.
Your German is obviously a little rusty this long after your time with BAOR single-handedly holding the Fulda Gap with just a troupe of continental fancy-boys in hair-nets for back-up.

Ref Merkel, are you sure... 'Continental fancy-boys in hair-nets' lol, yes indeed. Actually, if memory serves we weren't that polite.

Yes. Germans have yet to succumb to the gender nonsense rampant in the English-speaking world.
Actresses, for example are not known as actors as they are here, but are still called Schauspielerinnen

Oh yes that's it... 'Wir schaffen das' - We can manage. Ha. Job centers were opened because of a need for skilled personal AT THAT TIME. Something very different to the mass migration of asylum seekers, a problem that I suspect worried the overwhelming majority of people of all political backgrounds right across Europe. The problem is exacerbated by the advantage that is taken by Rightist extremists. By the way, the final swing to the far right in Germany has been credited to the depression of the 1930s that hit an already struggling German economy. The 'Right' will never be the answer for anyone who wants a fair minded government that unites the country. Just look at the experience of social damage done by Thatcher, and the wholesale division taking place in the US under the influence of Trump.

For Christs sake, I'm not sure whether I should mock you, or pity you. Do you honestly believe that Germany, one of the most technically advanced modern countries in the world, needed 'skilled people' from Mauritania, Senegal and Mali, countries where the average IQ is 40 points lower than Western Europe. You are away with the left wing fairies. The only reason Merkel enthusiastically, if briefly, supported EU job centres in poverty stricken African countries is so she could look virtuous on a global stage. Anyone who seriously thinks Germany needed coconut pickers, pickpockets and identity thieves, is a part of the problem, not the solution. The reason the EU are now attempting to clamp down on African migration is because they know, they've known for years, they got it very wrong. But it's too little too late. The damage is done.

Anyone who has a problem with the migration is a right wing extremist, and the migration problem is exacerbated by right wing extremists = "anyone who has a problem with the migration is exacerbating the problem" = "nobody should have a problem with it" This is pretty typical of the various ways the problem itself is ignored. The problem is transferred - instead of a migration problem, we have a right wing extremist problem. It's double talk

Yet we Changed our European Cousins for people from the developing world. And you was a part of that decision Ha ha you Brexiter deserve what you got.

I dont think that any Brexit voter wanted immigration levels of 700,000 a year no matter where they came from.. But if you think that is what they voted for - hey..

Unless you don't think red represents Brexiters I dont think you quite understand what was being said - I'm sure Red doesn't want mass immigration any more than I do, irrespective of where they are from.
