So, the snat response to this tax hike is to deflect it toward some hate the English rhetoric. I guess this is why even a total idiot can be FM up there.

A litre bottle of whisky will start at £26? Good job I buy mine at the other end of the British Isles. Where do you get that from ? ... Maths, Tommy. There are 40 units of alcohol in a litre bottle of whisky. 40 x 65p = £26. Glad to be of help.

When I first moved to Scotland as a small child I noticed that most people over the age of 16 or so had no teeth, also it was impossible to find salads or anchovies on sale, the staple diet was mince and tatties with no vegetables, I also noticed that most grown ups reeked of alcohol and were very short tempered. I was lucky in that my parents feed me an English diet with fruit and veg and we drank perrier water, I kept my own teeth and developed an urbane temperament.
Come off it, I enjoyed a case of Cromarty beers at Christmas, it was quite enjoyable, but not nearly as good as Arkle's Best Bitter. The water in Swindon must be much better than the highland stuff.

It won't affect a bottle of single malt , where the average minimum unit price of 24 different single malt brands sits currently at £1.07(45).( of which the high tax English tories under Rishi take the bulk of the tax...) Did you read my original post to you properly? The idea is to push up the minimum price per unit of the cheap crap that is causing all the damage.

All the more reason to home brew and do the SNP out of tax. It is actually a minimum price at which the shop can sell alcohol, with the increase retained by the shop The Welsh twats will doubtless follow suit. The current minimums only really impact cider, wgich is available in england for £1 a litre but £2.50 in wales. This translates to a £30 saving on a boot load bought from Lidl when i visit my daughter. There is plenty of spare capacity in the Duster if readers near the NP postcode want to put in an order…

Well Tommo, you must have all your own teeth as you take a bite better than Jaydee. Dumfriesshire actually. What!!!! The tory border shire of Dumfries? I reckon the people you saw with no teeth and bad tempers were English refugees ommy. The border counties have been reporting for years English asylum seekers fleeing the English wastelands for a better life in scotland. The Dumfries courier was reporting only the other week of a family from down south who had moved to scotland for clean fresh drinking water , affordable housing , and of course access to Scottish nhs dentists. My big mate is just back fae a boys winter holiday in Tenerife , and was reporting the place is full of English asylum seekers with bad teeth and halitosis. We are hearing the same thing from scotland , ireland France and Spain , all reporting the native English fleeing for a better life. I hear the Irish in Dublin are moaning about the amount of English from the London area who moved there following all the finance jobs Dublin took because of Brexit. Anyway ommy , I won't brag too much , we dont want to encourage you to move back.

I'd rather go and live in Mogadishu, the people are friendlier and the politicians are more trustworthy.
My son has just recently emailed me with a sorry story, his former RAF work colleague and friend retired and got a job as a bus driver, he was stabbed to death by a feral pack of under 15 year olds in Elgin last week, quite common apparently, my son is a serving officer in Polis Scotland and his accounts of his work life makes my hair go white.

Perhaps it was a 15 year old English asylum seeker om? I do know moray loon has told me of the problems they have with incomers up his way. I bet your son is glad he isnt dealing with the knife crime pandemic in your country though............ How Scotland reduced knife deaths among young people
Treating knife crime as a health issue has led to a dramatic drop in stabbings: of the 35 deaths of young people in Britain this year, none were in Scotland www.theguardian.com/membership/2017/dec/03/how-scotland-reduced-knife-deaths-among-young-people COLIN ROBERTSON London knife crime has become so out of control that eventually all parents will know someone who has been stabbed Over the past decade, knife crime has risen by an appalling 76 per cent
Office for National Statistics figures show that in England and Wales, there were a staggering 50,833 crimes involving knives or sharp objects www.thesun.co.uk/news/25228906/colin-robertson-london-knife-crime/.
