You post shit and deliberately fail to provide a link because you know it’s shit . That's what a mod told me to do if I can't post any links. Should I. Post his name So you can argue the toss with him .

I didn't use that term, but yes. Urm how can you say the truth is trolling .should I say that about every time you post the truth . Would that be trolling on Someone else post . In slang, a troll is a person who posts or makes inflammatory, insincere, digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages online or in real life, with the intent of provoking others into displaying emotional responses, or manipulating others' perception, thus acting as a bully or a provocateur. It doesn't matter whether it is truth or not. Your definition didn't mention that. Did you post this topic with the intention to goad the usual crew on here? Yep, looks like it to me. I didn't call it trolling, but that does fit the definition that you provided.

So stick to discussing the subject and not the person.

So stick to discussing the subject and not the person. Please clarify. I can cut and paste an article from a website and just post the name of the website as citation ie Times , Mail, Gov Uk , etc? I have no obligation to copy the URL , even though it is easy and the polite thing to do?

A direct link would be polite but if for some reason you are unable to do that then a citation of the source will do. Cutting and pasting the Intellectual Property from another website and passing it off as your own is a violation of the Proboards Terms of Service.

I won’t bother to cut and paste a URL in future . I might not edit my own posts either .
