Whilst it's true and he is an individual there are approx 30000 asylum seekers on bail and though they haven't thrown a corrosive liquid as he has they aren't on bail for littering so the rule should be commit a crime (not a minor infraction) and you're out no questions asked.
These numbers are quoted by the grauniad so you can't blame red tops. I think you have completely misunderstood the article you link to. Maybe try reading it again? I've misunderstood nothing,over 30000 on bail who should've been booted out not let free to wander about unchecked. |

Your post reads that you believe that 30,000 people in the process of having their asylum claims determined have committed some offence in this country and are waiting for their criminal case to be determined. That is not what what your article says. All your article says is that 30,000 people have arrived with the intention of claiming asylum since Braverman's Act passed and terminology changed. I agree the terminology now used is misleading - probably Braverman's intention - and it seems you have fallen on this occasion into her trap.

The term "on bail" refers to the official status of anyone who has come to the UK with the intention of claiming asylum after the passing of Braverman's act last year. The terminology is misleading, almost certainly deliberately so.
The term "on bail" in this context does not refer to the more common definition of people waiting for a criminal case to be processed in the UK courts.

It refers to those who really should be locked up pending the appeal but have been released into the community. My link to the gov.uk site covers it. I hope Moira has a chance to search through the records (that are entirely ‘public’ in the sense of not being classified or restricted, but are only available to the general public for a fee) so iwe can discern the identity of the twat who gave that alkali attacker asylum after two mire sensible panels said no. It will be useful for complaining about gongs in the next honours list if nothing else |

Then if nobody demands it immediately from the home secretary (which is their right) anyone detained may after 8 days demand it from moira’s tribunal court…
Which means moira and her fellow civil servants have to assemble a shitload of papers to keep you locked up, or else you walk
And if YOU don’t apply to be set free until your tribunal hearing, after four months a bloody ‘bot applies on your behalf
And even if moira and co manage to shut this down, four months later the fucking ‘bot applies on your behalf again.
No wonder the whole bloody team are exhausted.

There was a bloke on the radio this morning who suggested the acid bloke had been rejected twice by the Asylum tribunal/court whatever BUT the third application which was granted was by a different immigration board .
