It does seem ridiculous that someone who murdered babies in her care did not get a whole life tariff.

It makes me wonder how many such deaths are never detected. Let's face it - medical staff not only know the best ways to kill without leaving evidence but they (or a member of their team) could also be writing the death certificate.

I'd send her to a regular women's prison and tell all the other inmates who she is and what she's done. Sending her to the nuthouse would be an act of kindness that she doesn't deserve. Well at least we will get to find out who she is and why she thinks she did it, because she is pleading not guilty. One piece of information heard by the court was she researched her alleged victim's parents on the Internet suggesting the motive was to do with who they were.

Without leaving the Council of Europe it would be illegal to restore capital punishment. But whole life behind bars, in a prison full of angry women, who hate baby killing scum would be a fate worse than death. I agree, but many of these mass murderes end up killing themselves anyway Like Fred West and And Harold Shipman for example.

You got to question why the hospital management didnt do anything about her after several suspicions was raised about the deaths of babies under her care by consultants.

She has already been tried and convicted by the court of cyber space and public hysteria

It is still on going it matters now what other people may think , the ones who are hearing all the evidence the Crown has will decide guilty or not guilty on that evidence and that evidence alone.

Could the OTT views of commentators and posters be cited by the defence as a reason to end the trial…?

Exactly no way, as for those who comment Journalists on the Court Proceedings day by day as the trial progresses they cannot speculate give their own views on the trial just simply report what the Jury have heard and witnesses have said in Court that day or the days before

One of the staff at the dialysis unit where I get my treatment is a good-looking young female psychopath who always has a smile on her face ... when she deliberately gives patients the wrong advice about their diet. She claims to be a qualified renal dietitian. She gives patients printed literature with detailed warnings about the dangers of certain foods, the consumption of which needs to be limited (or avoided altogther), then, a day or two later, verbally encourages those who she thinks will unthinkingly accept what she says ... to eat such foods ... in greater quantities than they would normally do. When I challenged her and said: "You're encouraging me to eat high potassium foods". She smiled and said: "The dialysis will deal with that". Yeah ... if the high potassium in my blood stream doesn't stop my heart in the period between the dialysis sessions.

Yeah ... if the high potassium in my blood stream doesn't stop my heart in the period between the dialysis sessions. My kidney failure was caused by high potassium, in turn caused by an antibiotic Trimothoprim. Luckily my heart is strong and didn't succumb but the high potassium had taken my GRF down to near dialysis levels and when I was released, with a GRF of low 30s, my GP said it wouldn't be unusual for it to improve; luckily he was wrong but not as a result of anything the medical profession did.

If she in convicted and sent to Prison the Prisoners will know what she is as soon as she arrives, she will have to be segregated IMO for her own safety
