Great report by Darren Grimes; Alright, hats off to the Met Police for pulling off a sting operation straight out of a crime thriller. The Rolex Rippers, those brazen gangs terrorizing London's streets and preying on the unsuspecting, well-heeled patrons stumbling out of pubs and clubs in the wee hours, they've finally met their match (and a taser).
Imagine the scene: you're a robber, you spot your next target, a flashy watch gleaming in the night. You make your move, confident, quick. But surprise! You’ve just tried to mug an undercover cop. That’s right, Scotland Yard's finest, masquerading as potential victims, have bravely turned the tables on these thugs.
It’s like a plot straight out of a Hollywood movie. These plain-clothed heroes volunteered to be bait, strutting around Soho’s notorious hotspots, decked out in swanky timepieces, just waiting to be "robbed." And when these hoodlums took the bait, bam! They were swarmed by backup officers faster than you can say "Rolex."
The Met has released some extraordinary CCTV footage showing the very moment these undercover officers, posing as easy targets, are pounced on by these thugs. But the crooks barely have time to gloat before they find themselves surrounded by taser-wielding cops.
Well done the Met!

They'll be out in a few months and will probably be compensated for the treatment they've recieved from the institutionally racist police force. Plus, they may not even be aware they've broken any laws so human rights lawyers may also make some money out of this, especially since ignorance of the law is now a defence. Just ask Nottingham Crown Court. |

The principle is like a visitor to your house if you misbehave you’re asked to leave,I don’t mean like a parking fine or not paying tv licence but crimes like this deserve deportation.
