You linked yourself by claiming most people are stupid . The real world works like this ..if enough EVs go up in flames then people will be put off from buying them . It doesn’t matter how much a self proclaimed superior intellect tells them not to. Dint shoot the messenger. The press are trying to sell papers using fear and alarm. Fear and alarm lowers your IQ so you become stupid, and what is more is the fuckwits who write the Daily Mail know nothing about how the world operates. They live in some sort of clown world of liars and celebs.
Batteries is something I have a reasonable understanding of. I have spent a fair bit of time studying the research and I'm trying to give you lot an honest view. If you think the MSM are more accurate then you are of course free to think it, but from my experiences of regular readers of such papers they are as thick as shit, where the audience of the stuff I tend to watch are often experts. You see I'm one of these science geeks.
Oh I’m sure you are as clever as you think you are . That doesn’t refute my point .

YouTube videos do not refute this.. The real world works like this ..if enough EVs go up in flames then people will be put off from buying them .

The truth is very few of them do, and less so than petrol cars. You rarely get stats in this dumb ass British press unless the stats themselves are the object of scare. They don't do balance in arguments.

If you knew anything about batteries BVL you would know that 99% of lead acid batteries and nicads are recycled against just 5% of litheum batteries which along with worn out wind turbines blades ar chucked into landfills for future generations to deal with.

I'm aware of this problem. Things should get better as new recycling techniques are developed. Leas acid is very easy to recycle as you just remove the acid and melt down the lead plates. For industrial battery backup on land one can use a flow battery which you just reprocess the electrolyte and it is good to go again.

Things will never be better for litheum recycling it is both dangerous and cost prohibitive.

Only 5% of litheium is recycled. against 99% of lead acid and nicads.

And there we have it . An EV fire is worse than an ICE one. ”And while the severity of an incident if it occurs involving BEVs could be greater because a thermal event could take longer to bring under control, our assessment, based on the historical information and the work the industry is undertaking to continue to understand and mitigate the risks is that the likelihood of a BEV being the source of a fire in a depot is lower than a conventional diesel-powered bus.”

What the muppets never know though is why they spontaneously explode. They tell you they investigate all the time but never have the answers. I think they are doing something wrong.

Oh dear, oh very dear. The entire fleet of electric busses temporarily withdrawn and replaced with diesel busses... ...because diesel busses only explode when one of our Islamic friends forgets his bag.

The linked to report actually says: Following the incident, Transport for London (TfL) said electric buses on route 200, which runs between Raynes Park and Mitcham, are being “temporarily withdrawn” by operator GoAhead. Too much GBNews watching appears to hinder comprehension…
