In a bid to boost his unpopular presidency Macron has appointed Gabriel Attal as prime minister, at 34 he is not only the youngest ever but also the first openly gay prime minister. This comes ahead of the European parliament elections in June where Macron’s centrist forces risk defeat at the hands of the 'far-right' under Marine Le Pen, and Attal is a staunch Macron ally who will, no doubt, do as he's told - link

When you say "at 34 he is not only the youngest ever but also the first openly gay prime minister", do you mean in France?
Britain had Augustus FitzRoy (33), and William Pitt (24) as prime ministers and, since 2000, Ireland has had an openly gay prime minister, as have Andorra, Belgium, Iceland, Luxembourg, Norway and Serbia...

Pillock. The clue was 'Macron'.

All you needed to write was: "at 34 he is not only France's youngest ever but also its first openly gay prime minister"...

"Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir? If I were Macron I'd be worried if I met him in the Gents.

What on earth is obscure about saying "Macron has appointed Gabriel Attal as prime minister"? See OP. I think you were trying to be clever weren't you. On reflection I'm sure you agree that it didn't quite work did it, lol.

Your claim was at best imprecise. Attal is not the youngest ever prime minister, not is he the first openly gay prime minister...

I disagree.
The opening post referred to Macron appointing someone
Unless you believe a sovereign nation outside france has bent over to take it up the shitter from this French granny snatcher, it does follow, at least for me, that Macron could only have appointed a FRENCH Prime minister ….
As to the consequences, well, i can’t see his lack of age or his idea of desirable places to stick his dick being particularly relevant to competence in that role, but maybe the French do things differently.

Isn't the age difference between Trump and his wife the same as between Macron and his wife (24 years in both cases)?

Anyway, the question was ‘how young is too young to be the prime minister’
Regardless of the country, surely the actual answer is ‘the age a day below which his or her fellow party members and allies in other parties where appropriate no longer hold their ‘leadership’ of their party seriously.
Experience is no measure. A minister, and most especially a Prime Minister, has paid, unpaid and fellow party advisors. It is their job to KNOW stuff and speak truth to power. It is the prime minister’s job to lead in presenting whatever policy follows.
I do not see AGE per se as a deciding factor.
