Between 2018 and 2021 the Tories doubled the acceptance rate of asylum seekers while the French percentage accepted for asylum went down. So whatever the leftwing bastards has done to our country the right wing bastards have followed it up with worse. Conclusion: the whole HoC is failing us. The Lords are just as much up their own arses as well. My view is the important changes happened in the un-elected layer of our government. You would have to elect a government prepared to burn all the 'preventative' legislation left by previous administrations to stall and hamper democracy and also go at the civil service with a chainsaw. Tory bastards are just on the same payroll and that is why they do what they do. Look at Johnson - handed £5m when leaving office and some free trips to the US. It is us who are the problem. We allow them to screw us.

The Tories also managed to add a few horrors of their own.

We never thought politics was good guys agaisnt bad guys but just all out to screw us, and that the police were in with the system, as were the schools, universities and all the other shits. The object of the game for those I knew was to "work around the system" never work in it.

Sending displaced, distressed and unhappy new British to Cornwall is a master stroke, within a fortnight of meeting and interacting with the local populace they will be hiring small boats and wading ashore at Calais requesting a bus fare back to Kabul.

In my opinion illegals, asylum seekers, refugees call them what you will, should be housed in places like Mayfair, Belgravia, Hamstead etc. Never been to Hamstead, but there are plenty of ethnics in Hampstead where they cheer the place up

There are a few things need pointing out here, movement of people is a problem that’s only going to get worse there are many reasons for this some not least down to our military adventures brought about by messrs Blair and to a lesser extent Cameron.
In general I’m against the arrival of so many because we are unable to absorb the numbers and the damage it will cause to our culture.
There is a but though,if these are former interpreters and people who assisted the British military and through that they and their families are under threat of death then we do have an obligation to take them in..
The Blair family used to have a portfolio of buy to let properties,if they still do they should take these people at his expense which would only be fair since he made millions on the back of his playing cowboys and Indians with George Walker (spelt with an n) Bush which saw many of our military maimed physically and mentally and to what end? a chaotic withdrawal with nothing achieved.

It's got a distinctly English cultural feel about it. You see quite a few well-dressed English women hanging about. It's very polite and relaxed. Many people in Hamstead have some connection to the arts. Of all the places you could live in London, I'd say it is probably one of the most desirable.

If the Afghans are the translators that worked for us then that is a little different.
I do wonder though if the richer home counties that voted against Brexit are getting their share of cultural enrichment or is it just the poorer communities around England and Wales.
