DHSC bought £122m PPE from Tory peer-linked firm 'for almost three times manufacturing fee'
The 25 million gowns were never used after failing an inspection.
PPE bought by the Department of Health and Social Care for £122m from a company linked to a Tory peer – and later deemed unfit for use – was purchased from a Chinese manufacturer for just £46m, according to reports.
The government bought 25 million gowns from PPE Medpro at the beginning of the pandemic, but they were never used by the NHS after government officials rejected them.
Documents which allegedly show the profits made by the firm and its partners were leaked to the Guardian.
DHSC is seeking to recover money from PPE Medpro through a mediation process, according to the newspaper, while the company said it is entitled to keep the money as it fulfilled the contract,
PPE Medpro was awarded two contracts through the government “VIP lane”, which fast-tracked politically connected firms during the Covid pandemic.

What's that ^^ got to do with the Covid vaccine? Just shows how the Government was ineffective in Controlling the pandemic what Caused 100.000 of British citizen life's. That might not be a Concern to. You but to most British people it is.

Australia and New Zealand shut their borders but as soon as they opened up again the virus swept through the population. Although I must admit that some of the attempts in the UK to control the disease were rather farcical - the SNP's idea to saw the tops and bottoms off doors was a particular favourite and who can forget the Labour Party's attempt to save lives by closing the toy aisle at Tesco's..

The rest of the 'World' didn't fair much better, in fact the UK was one of the first countries to administer the vaccine, you forget to mention things like that, don't you.

Of course I've not forgotten that I's what the whole stink about the Vaccine is all about .It wasn't fit for purpose if you look further up the post you see that the EU said it was unsafe because it Came out to quickly and the effects on the over 65s hadn't been given. Time for the Results . Like I said the Government was responsible for 100.000 Of British Deaths . As of July 7, 2022, there have been 2,030,370 deaths across the whole of Europe due to COVID-19 since the first recorded European death in France and Spain on February 15, 2020. The United Kingdom currently has the highest number of deaths in Western Europe, and has recorded 180,718 coronavirus deaths as of July 7. In Italy, there have been 168,770 confirmed deaths as a result of COVID-19.

Your just like another poster on here who tries to put the failings of the SNP on labour. Now here you are trying to put the Failings of the Conservatives on.Labour Nothing new there then Under Government guidance, supermarkets are told they "should" close non-essential retail sections of their store "where a business has sufficiently distinct parts".😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Put that in your pipe and Smoke it

LOL your trying to muddy the Waters with labour in Wales. Don't know about if they Enforced that nonsense but I'm sure you have no problem reading but just in case Tesco's was acting on Government guidance, supermarkets are told they "should" close non-essential retail sections of their store "where a business has sufficiently distinct parts". Nothing to do with. Labour or Welsh Labour 😂😂😂😶😂😂😂

Analysis of mortality from the start of the pandemic until the end of July 2023 shows the age-standardised mortality rate for deaths involving Covid is slightly higher in Wales (102.2 deaths per 100,000), than England on 101.5 deaths per 100,000.
Scotland (9.56) and Northern Ireland (93.2) are both lower in the 41 months to the end of July.
The age-standardised mortality rate due to Covid - with Covid the underlying cause of death - is slightly higher in England than in Wales.
It is also higher in all English regions apart from south west, south east and east England.
Seeing that wales has a Much higher elderly population then Wales.
And Covid Mainly effected them over 65 It shows that England/ the English Government Conservative. Was sabey.
Even Scotland and N-Ireland out performed England.

So Labour having decided that shutting down the toy aisle was necessary, how many lives did it save? The horrible Tories in England didn't shut down the toy aisle so they had absolutely no interest in saving lives - I'm simply asking you how many lives did the Labour Party save by their actions?
