It's a shit programme and it's been going how many years? If remoaners are the kind of people to watch it, it doesn't say much for the people on it. It's crap, but for £1.5 million, I'd go on it. And anyone here who says they wouldn't do the same is a liar. I just love the way the remnants are trying to blame Nigel for the viewing figures when it's more likely down to the rest of the contestants being a bunch of unknown z Listers. He's against their beloved EU 'so he must be evil'. Bunch of remoaning morons.

I suspect that in the immediate aftermath of Covid quite a few potential viewers were quite emotionally attracted to the idea of seeing Hancock humiliated but frankly Farage for many is a bit of a yesterday's man and attracts far less than Hancock to what is a very tired format. It would be interesting (no what am I saying - who the feck cares) to compare this years viewing figures to the series before last. That said without Farage, I suspect that viewing figures would have been significantly less.
As for this made up row, well I know "Populism" rather depends on creating a sense for its adherents of them being unfairly treated by the establishment but even by those standards this is a ridiculous non-story. It does rather feel that the whole movement is in danger of descending into a Kenneth Williams Tribute Act - infamy infamy....

They will regret their decision if Farage has driven most of their viewers away. I'd have no idea about whether or not farage has driven viewers away or attracted them. There will already be company surveys and focus groups looking into that, but as a commercial operation those will be kept private, so who knows? All I can say is that if his presence is being passionately debated in multiple threads on an insignificant backwater like this place it'll likely be seen as money well spent by ITV Studios. As Oscar said: "There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.."

Well people talking about Farage is a good thing for him - for ITV probably not, as it is not translating into viewers and thus more advertising revenue.

Something I read earlier... A fat black woman called 'Nella' (Apparently she is a 'celebrity') accused Nigel of being a racist, he calmly asked her why she thought he was a racist, she said 'I read it on the internet'. Nuff said. As far as IQ is concerned, Nigel is head and shoulders above the rest which is why ITV producers have censored him, they don't want 'Mr Brexit' to look good. Surely her accusation is slander and should be treated as defamation? After all, it's a serious accusation, where lives are ruined by these hypocritical lying cretins who make entire careers on the back of ruining lives.
Justification is an absolute defence to a slander or libel action. Consent is also an absolute defence. This kind of show thrives on conflict. People say defamatory things in the heat of the moment. It's very unlikely that his contract does not contain a consent clause.

Well people talking about Farage is a good thing for him - for ITV probably not, as it is not translating into viewers and thus more advertising revenue. The attitudes of their advertisers will have been front and centre to any hiring decision. After spending £1.5m (a quoted figure I'm deeply suspicious about, having heard rather lower sums mentioned..) on a single participant, they'll want to be charging a good premium for slots on any show where he's doing a challenge. There are only so many advertisers who can A) pay such a premium, and B) see their potential sales as resistant to/likely enhanced by proximity to such a figure. (Anecdotally, I know that at least one tent pole advertiser abruptly pulled out of Big Brother, years ago (citing the "disrepute" clause standard to contracts), when the Jade Goody racism row blew up.) It would be interesting to see what effect his presence is having in real time (slots are being lined up/prices negotiated/sold for the next broadcast as we speak), or even just check out a list of series advertisers to see if anyone has pulled out since it began (or, indeed, started running adverts now, who hadn't previously).

I am getting one of those feelings ITV are thinking the Farage was not one of their better moves and giving him his 1.5 million and getting shot of him might be a better bet. I think he's off screen having a fag for at least half the day and that explains his low visibility. Once you get a taste for penis...

When I was backpacking around Egypt an American came up to me and asked ''can I bum a Camel?'' I responded ''yes but you'll probably have to pay its owner''. The confused look on his face was priceless.

The confused look on his face was priceless. A Cinematographer friend flew into LAX - a couple of years post-9/11 - to film the launch episode of a TV show. He usually travels with his lens box on its own seat. US Customs. "Business or pleasure, sir?" "I'm here to shoot a pilot." That turned into a long day in a Customs office.

As has been said, don't take it seriously and will all be forgotten like most of the so called celebs.
Farage has come across well though, calm and collected not like some of the screechers and whatever people say like an old fashioned Englishman.

That description is like a red rag to a bull to the new British and the imported culture from the USA being increasingly practised by the BBC, ITV, Labour Party, bits of the Tory Party, the Scotch, Welsh, Schools and NHS. It is becoming more and more apparent that the loud mouthed vacious Nally Rose, or whatever her name is, does in fact represent a large number of people.

Trash talk and trolling is always better if you tell lies. Well done. This is a light-touch moderation site. But thhere is a rule against abusing the moderators. The moderators have adopted a light-touch approach to your daily agitation against one mod. So, you are among the primary beneficiaries of this site's easy-going approach. Think yourself lucky. If you find you can no longer tolerate the more tolerant approach, you have several options. You can put me and anyone else whose posts you find unpalatable on ignore or you can restrict yourself to the Mind Zone. Do something, B-4. It makes no sense to continue along past lines when it's clearly making you so unhappy. Darling's in with a mod now and feels empowered enough to lecture others, he is the speaker of the site laying down ground rules to other posters. I remember when he used to get holidays for trolling posters, but now has escalated himself to chief speaker of the forum for moderation and standards. Apply within Darling, I'm sure you'll be crowned something with an official title around here. lol
